The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
I have just watched that interview and honestly I am speechless! Surely to God there is someone from the consortium who could show some enthusiasm and positivity about today's news. King is a total nightmare. Two interviews and twice he has destroyed shareholder value on a massive scale. If I wasn't, sadly, already invested here, and watched that stuttering, stammering performance, there is no way I would put a penny anywhere near Omega. FFS, Prince Andrew's infamous interview was streets ahead of this debacle!
It seems to me that New test have a big call to make in the near future. They could drill this thing for the next decade and it looks like they would continue to find gold but at some time they need to have ore to feed Telfer and it seems that will be in the need to be in the next 18 months or so. What are the views of the board? I think that they will start the decline soon and crack on with production, leaving further exploration for the future. Perhaps even combining production with exploration. Where Greatland come into this, who knows, but a good number on here would be keen for a payout sooner rather than later. We all have to have the time to enjoy our winnings after all.
This video from Alistair is very significant in my view. He exudes confidence that the sensitivity and specificity of our test will be well above minimum requirements. Why would he put his neck on the line in this way if he even had an inkling that the test wasn't going to make it? His credibility would be shot. Surprised that the market seems to have ignored this. Down over 4% as I write.
Might be just me Paddy but I was slightly surprised, given the world class resource we have here, that he wasn't even more effusive about Greatland. I think that he even said that it was not one of his picks! Maybe he is focussed on the North American markets but an expert like him should surely have deep insight into all worldwide discoveries of scale.
Turning into a disaster here for LTH. But never mind we are now relying on the government to mastermind the release of our great new test. Nothing could possibly go wrong. Could it?
It must be a pretty fair bet that Cytiva will issue news about the LFT before this webinar and it surely must be good news. Why have the webinar if the news was to be bad. That would be unimaginable. Even if no advance news we should be able to read the runes from what is said. Good luck to all investors.
Just sit back and wait now. Doesn't matter what the price is today or tomorrow. This is now beyond any question a great outcome for us all. For those holding from early on this is now totally life-changing. I got in later but have quite a few shares. Great news for everyone and many thanks to all the wonderful posters here. You know who you are.
Let's not kid ourselves, if this test does not work for some reason we are in for a huge drop. Even with all the rest the price before covid was well under 20p. Got to say that it is a very nervous time here. Part of me says that there would be no big buyers if test not in the bag but the delay is testing to say the least
Great day today but we won't be getting all the profit here. No clarity as yet of the profit share. Everyone here is assuming that we get the lot. Not so.
Newton advised the public not to buy any commercial antibody tests at the moment stating that " Better tests will be available to the public soon" and " Wait until we have better tests which will be available in a similar form very soon though they are still under evaluation at the moment"
Hopeful.
Quite simply if we had announced a distribution deal with Amazon the shareprice would be over £2 right now. Perception is all. Rightly or wrongly Boohoo and its owners have a certain image. Not quite some barrow boys down the market but approaching that. Short sighted in my view. These guys will have direct access to the Boohoo distribution machine. Replication of that system should be straightforward given that they are only operating with one item for sale. Believe me, that system is super efficient. I took a view this morning that we would drop because of the initial perception of “ Mate’s Rates” but I bought some more under £1.40. Whatever the smell this will be a super efficient distribution system set up by experts. Seen by some at the moment as Dr Smith’s first mis- step, this just might be a master stroke. One other thing, surely this all means that the manufacture and licensing of the device is now a given. That alone should mean a large price rise.
Utterly useless reporting on the Marr show. All the British press can do is be totally negative. "Doubts cast on antibody tests" from Chris Whitty says Marr. Not as positive as it could have been. But who buys or sells on the views of these incompetents.
Got to say that I am a little deflated after reading the board today. It seems that a number of respected LTHs are considering selling a part of their holdings next week. So holding long and strong appears to be out of favour with some. Given the performance of Aim shares recently selling on or before the news has been rather successful. Hard calls to be made here after the recent very strong rise. It will be a bitter pill to swallow if there is a drop after the announcement of great results.
