Sorry but this shareprice will not be back at 12p at the next spud. The last two days have significantly affected confidence in the company. That confidence had returned to a great extent since the appointment of the new CEO. What had gone before was an utter shambles. Have a look at the shareprice graph. This latest incident, I am afraid, brings back memories of the bad old days. The competence of this company are now front and centre again and it does not look promising. You might think that a proper survey of the rig site would have been carried out. Was this debacle entirely unforeseen? Will moving 100metres inland really make a difference and if so why wasn’t this location chosen first? These questions seem pretty basic to me and the last few days have given shareholders cause to think that the very high risk that was there from the start here has just been ramped up even further. For this reason I think we will be lucky if the shareprice is out of single figures when we are able to drill again. One other thing: the 2 RNS’s have been woefully short of detail. Nobody really knows what the hell is going on. Let’s get this back on track. The CEO should be giving an interview pretty damn quick to be honest and transparent about the reasons for this debacle and giving confidence that the same will not happen at the next drill
