put in a decent size buy (if you can get quote) and literally you'll send L2 into a frenzy - you see how little conviction there is actually making stock available to sell.

L2 had those two on the lowest Ask at 1.71p marked 'MO'. There was no stock available to buy at that price. Now the Ask is showing 1.794p where there is some availability. Never seen this extent of attempting to control price and stop buys but the reason and motivation are obvious.

MMs have had a 1.7 fetish the last few days. Hopefully they've managed to kick the habit.

Ah yes but Mr Zs other idea was to ask other countries - and he asked UK - to provide nuclear protection. So still hasn't worked out it was a bit silly to talk about acquiring nuclear weapons last year if he couldn't join NATO. With the current mental and emotional capacity of our leadership, I would be surprised if they decide to paint a nuclear target on the UK next time Mr Z goes Rambo.

MOEX up over 10% today, Gazprom currently +16% if the chart on Google is correct.

That £56k after hours almost certainly a buy order that's been worked all day hence the constant fake drops that don't allow buyers in.

Reassuring words from POG. Is the beaten up share price based largely on a misplaced fear that the company's debt would be called in for immediate payment? I don't see appetite for further meaningful sanctions in Europe as heaviest levers already pulled and rising costs starting to be felt by public.

Re third party ore, yes its less profitable for POG but is on the decline - another 10-15koz coming off in 2022. I imagine with main capex done on process plant items the focus can shift to ramping up mining and ore supply.

Remember, POGs operating costs are in RUB which has taken a dive, so that will help margins. Gold is going to be a beneficiary in a stagflation environment.

Good post. Alls I'd say is that if assets are marked down in a crisis or whatever, doesn't equate to investors necessarily selling. No doubt many did however. Those monitoring POG over the last q0 years will know how many HNWs keen to merge or buy the company will be rubbing their hands together. How it all plays out, don't quote me.

Take mine at 15p

Probably only large caps such as Gazprom, Lukoil etc that've already been hammered down 90-95% and with some large short positions (opened pre-war) that will want to try and cash in (ie buy stock to exit) but with less 'long investors', shorters will be paying through the nose to cover. It'll be harder as the central bank is going to be buying also to re-inflate asset prices.

Now if we do get good news on a diplomatic resolution as per UN comments today, then de-escalation starts in earnest.

Both UN Gen Sec and Zelensky stating talks progressing and the former sees enough common understanding to end the hostilities now. That'll upset the US and those keen to see Ukraine destroyed in a mass sacrifice knowing full well that will be the likely eventual outcome if this continues.

You might not be able to buy because L2 has the Ask below the Bid. Interesting market.
