Angus getting plenty of attention of late which should drip down to Alba, UKOG also flat which could also help with investors switching around trying to find value at HH and Brockham.

Anyone looking to invest in the Weald Oil Story will be sniffing around (pardon the expression) looking for some value and please correct me if i'm wrong but the AIM investment options are UKOG, Angus or Alba ?

That's a pretty small set of options and Alba must be becoming ever more tempting at this time...
Just IMO of course..

"At $85/barrel we estimate that after refinery,transportation costs and OPEX we estimate we should make around $60/barrel. If you take 100 bopd as the yard stick,each 100 bopd gives you $6,000/day,$2.1m/year. Thats £1.6m so each 100 bopd delivers you an income of £1.6m/year."

"Oil & Gas companies have always been valued historically at a P/E of 15-25 multiple range so each 100 barrels would give you an implied mkt cap of £25m-£40m.

Alba have 5% of Brockham and 11.76% of HH

If HH delivers 1500 bopd that would give Alba 176.4 bopd
If Brockham delivers 1500 bopd that would give Alba 75 bopd

A couple of big IF's in there but that could give Alba circa 250 bopd and an MCAP of circa £80 M

Production along those lines could provide Alba with working capital of circa £4 M per annum to progress it's other assets and or buy new assets.

Let's hope those big IF's become a reality in the coming months.

Scsiborg I think people are expecting some funding news.. TBH I'm not fussed about funding as GF strikes me as a smart cookie and if they need it to peogress towards production that's gotta be good news. If they can get enough cash from HH EWT'S and Brockham even better. That's how I see it anyhows.. Great news today tho

Good article and although many think the Cloggy exploration offers little value I like the way Alba are testing the licence and trying to work out where they will find the Gold.

Nice project in the background that could throw up a nice Gold Strike in time.

HH is looking very good and if Brockham delivers things would start to look very interesting.

One possible obstacle that SS has with trying to effectively price out Alba is Big Dave and his Doriemus share of HH.

I can't see DL being pushed out by SS and HH field development costs.

I also think DL's DOR needs Brockham just as much as Alba needs Brockham.

GF on the board of HHDL also suggests Alba are going to ride this all the way..

Alba only picked up the TBS licence last year and they released technical initial results in November if my memory serves me correctly so something on TBS within the next few weeks would be my guess.

Alba's Tweet today about Copper and mentioning Inglefield would suggest they may well have found Copper there and we could expect news on that front shortly.

HH EWT's due to end in December so no reason to expect news on that front until then.. Unless they have some big news they need to share with the market.

Brockham should start soon so I think we can expect news on that front shortly.

Cloggy ? Who knows so for me better to let them get on with it and see what they find.

Interesting to see Angus Kim results at Balcombe which for me looks very promising for Brockham and of course HH.

If the news is good in the coming months there seems little point worrying about any small drops short term.

Let's hope for some great news in the run up to Christmas :-)

One can almost feel the pressure building with Angus testing Balcombe and Alba testing HH (ok so UKOG, Alba and Doriemus)

I know not everyone voted for Brexit and the mere mention of it makes some people shudder but the news that comes out of Balcombe and HH in the coming weeks could be a game changer and provide the UK with some great news.

It feels like we could all do with some of that great news especially those invested in any of the Oil companies involved.

We may have seen GMOW offload some of their holding.

They were locked in for 7 months but could seek permission from Alba to sell some earlier.

So looking back at the 'Deal' it was agreed at a 'two for one' as per RNS 9th August 2016.

I have to say that these costs look to have been met during previous drilling but there remains the 10% of the AFE for production/ well testing:

'Alba originally secured this option to earn a five per cent interest in Brockham as part of its acquisition
from Angus Energy in October 2015 of a 5 per cent interest in Horse Hill Developments Limited, the
65 per cent owner of the Horse Hill oil and gas project (PEDLs 137 and 246). Alba’s earn in to Brockham
was originally agreed to be on a “two for one” promote basis, whereby Alba would pay a ten per cent
contribution to the cost of the drilling of the side-track well (from spudding to first oil) in order to earn
its 5 per cent interest. Alba has now agreed with Angus that Alba’s contribution to the cost of the
side track well from spudding to first oil shall be capped, for all dry hole costs, at a maximum of
£187,125, plus a maximum of a further 10 per cent of the AFE (Agreement For Expenditure) to be
issued for production/well testing, and Alba shall only be required to fund Brockham joint account
costs incurred and cash called thereafter in accordance with its five per cent interest only, and no
higher'

Have Alba budgeted for these costs ?

I am slightly surprised by the share price over the past few weeks but for me there are a few reasons as to why we are seeing this:

1: Some investors will have been invested in UKOG and been hit when the BB results landed and others will have been hit when the Angus Lidsey results landed (myself included) and may be less confident this time around to sit and wait preferring to see what happens and jump back on if things go well .
2: The mention of Permafrost at TBS and the share price drop at Bluejay will have dampened some investors optimism.
3: Brockham will need funding and to my knowledge Alba will have to stump up more than 5% of costs as per their deal with Angus (don't shoot the messenger please) but I will look back into this aspect of Brockham.

I suppose those are actually my concerns rather than those of other investors...

That said i'm still here and hopeful for good news to land on a least some of Alba's projects which should in turn see some significant share price improvement.

Re the Oil I think Alba can sit back and wait for the cheques to come in each month :-)

For me this RNS gives investors a nice update on Cloggy. Team and tools now working on Cloggy whilst Greenland test results are being carried out. GF is constantly questioned on the number of assets/ projects Alba has on the go and Alba's ability to switch focus effectively with such a small team. This year has shown investors that Alba are more than capable of overseeing it's Oil assets whilst planning and actioning on field tests in lets face it a fairly remote part of the World. These things don't just happen by magic and I would suggest we as investors at least acknowledge the efforts to deliver results. Crist I can barely plan a trip to the local shop ! Lol Weald Oil seems to be going to plan Thule Ilmenite results due shorly They could their hands full at Four Finger Lake :-) Brockham Oil from Kim is Imminent Team Alba now cracking on at Cloggy... So good to know they are moving things forward on all targets for this year as planned. GLA & DYOR

I'm unsure what assets Alba had 4 years ago and what investors saw in Alba back then ?

GF has been busy since taking charge to the point where I suspect the Alba of today shares little resemblance to that of 4 years ago..

These assets are relatively new with some as recent as 12 months:

TBS
Cloggy
Inglefield

You've been winging on about Alba for the 12 months whilst adding little to nothing of any interest.

Trying to get an idea of when we could expect the TBS update previous testing news was delivered on16th November 2017.

GF's comments are worth revisiting:

Alba's Executive Chairman, George Frangeskides, commented:

"These results are excellent and fully justify our decision to move into the heavy mineral sands arena with our 100% owned Thule project. Compare the weighted average Total Heavy Mineral content of 46.7% at our Thule project with a number of advanced mineral sands projects around the world - Mutamba (3.9% THM), Moma (3.2% THM), Iluka (7% THM as an average across their projects) and the comparison is a very favourable one."



"Of course the most obvious comparison to make is with the Dundas Project being rapidly advanced by AIM-listed Bluejay Mining Plc (current market capitalisation approximately £187 million) just a few kilometres from our Thule Project. Bluejay's current JORC inferred resource is 23.6mt grading 34.5% THM and bearing 8.8% ilmenite in-situ with a high-grade zone of 7.9mt grading 14.2% ilmenite. While we are not yet in a position to quote JORC compliant resource figures at Thule, our verified assay results, collected over a large sample area, which confirm a THM content of 46.7% and an in-situ ilmenite content averaging 10.0% and ranging from 5.7% to 14.9%, certainly do not suffer by comparison against Bluejay's figures."

"These results give us great confidence as we seek to fast-track our work at Thule in the close season and as we prepare to head into a significant field season in 2018."

Anything like 25M Tonnes of high grade ilmenite would by JAY's production numbers provide a min 50 year mine life..
