I use a little excel spread sheet what I did write and it allows me to create realistic scenarios to see the effect they have on my portfolio. One was using a 25% allocation and a 75p buy back ... In reality I achieved 21.75% and a 73p buy back. Come on FDA pull your finger out
Yes each person should have looked at their own circumstances. In our case we had loads not in an ISA and at an average SP of just under 90p. This little exercise has produced more shares, all in an ISA and reduced the Average to 76p .. job done. GLTA
These are only my thoughts but for what they are worth here goes... If you have read the page that MissBMW was kind enough to link us to (page 4) you notice that there are or were at the time, only 345 stockholders. That that suggests a small, but knowledgeable group. My hope is that they, like me will see beyond the very small and short term gain that this opportunity brings. I have said before that IMO the extra shears have already been factored into the current price. I suspect the market recognise this as I see the ratio of sells to buys of late would normally produce figures that would reduce a share price but in fact we have a gain. This may well be due people maximising what's on offer here. I my case it's an opportunity to reduce my average while at the same time get my holding into my ISA.. Also It's almost a given right now that this will be oversubscribed. All of which makes me even more confident in the future of this company. This is a minimum 2 year investment, but also a very smart 5 years one. So the big question for me is ... Just how smart am I going to be.

Quite right meikle. I just thought I mention it . I have done this before and now I have several holding in my portfolio of less then 50 shares and I didn't want another one. The bottom line ... don't sell them all
Can I just say that one of the reasons I decided to transfer funds to my ISA was that I didn't like the idea (As Lloyds suggested) of selling all the shares then buying them back and then applying for the offer shares. The flaw in this plan or what made me nervous about it was that at a point in this I would not be holding ant shares and if I but them back then it would be outside the qualifying date. I just thought I'd mention it.
As I said yesterday I think the current sp has the offer factored in but cme the latter part of next week I would expect the P to drop as people start taking the profit. Not btw, I'm here till Parsotix features on the 10'oclock news and beyond.
