RE: Nice to see1 Apr 2025 15:03
It’s worth listening intently to Brad from 8.40 - 14 mins.
Here’s he talks about doing things abit differently to the traditional route of drilling, defining the margins, infil drilling, taking to resource in a couple of years time, then look at building the mine etc, etc.
Basically fast tracking the known Pepas to the mining stage, high grade from surface, there’s excellent transport in the area a few nearby mines, 3rd party mills, a charge of a fraction of a gramme for moving to nearby mills….
‘The traditional way of doing it is out the window.’
So basically there talking about getting a small resource at Pepas, basically to look down mining routes and then expand later. He’s heading out to Colombia next week to look at the options. Looking at getting the ball rolling with permits, environmental studies etc. Pepas is 2km in a straight line to the main Cauca Highway, there’s 3 or 4 mines / mills within close proximity. They’ll make a formal decision in maybe a years time.
So anyone here thinking this will 5-10 years is going to get a shock. I think they’ll certainly go down this route with the current gold price, which shows zero signs of slowing.
In my opinion anyway. A very good listen.
