Noel, I unfiltered taking your advice that one can just not read stuff that is not of interest. Does it bother you?

I was thinking that Noel may say something of interest from time to time between the stream of all the extracurricular political, conspiracy related stuff and fighting with other investors, which frankly doesn't interest me UNLESS directly related to Delt. Hence, I will only interact of what I feel is Delt relevant.

No 2, 1 or 2k pounds worth of shares is not going to cut it.

Anything less than 10k will look like a meaningless token in my view.

They may have significant options though - I have so far not looked into this; but perhaps we as holders ought to step up a bit of pressure on this topic!?

PS:

I think we will have multiple interesting RNS's in Sept/Oct. If not, we should all really press for a fundraise, rather than farming down on the cheap. Just my gut feeling that this is how it will all play out!

No 2, fair comments/questions.

Wrt Shell/One Dyas, my guess is that it was a price Shell had to pay to get them interested, probably less to do with what share Shell would prefer.

After the latest update on Pensacola, I would be rather surprised if we don't have 3 or 4 interested parties; probably in negotiations with Delt as we speak. I suspect it will be Shell, possibly One Dyas, plus other companies involved in the same location either with fields or indeed infrastructure could be interested.

In the bigger scheme, these are not big fields, but compared the current market cap, the upside is enormous.

I would also be interested in a ranked list, but more out of curiosity, as I look at Delt as an opportunity on its own merits.

In my view, the biggest threats to Delt in recent times were:

- Shell abandoning the North Sea (clearly not the case, ref recent RNS)

- The Tories stopping the 33rd licensing round (clearly not the case, ref recent Sunak speech)

- Labour winning next election and closing down existing and future developments (now crystal clear that Starmer will - as a minimum - leave all existing developments)

Of course we still have the usual exploration risks, but Pensacola and Selene looking better than ever.

Yet share price really really low. I guess everybody is shell shocked despite the political uncertainty having been removed. Once decent news come out re new licences or monetisation, I can see this jumping vertically. If nothing or bad news, then it will trade flat or move down to even less :-)

Let me repeat: "...WE WON'T REVOKE ANY LICENCES...". Pretty clear, again. This is very beneficial for Delt/us.

No 2, I am more or less on the same page as you. Certain news outlets just love milking this. It suits their narrative.

It is nevertheless a huge threat for exactly that reason. Politicians on both sides are not straight either, but I believe the energy needs of the population will be given priority in the end. Buying energy on the open, global market will not provide that obviously. Many of the supplier countries are not exactly stable democracies, so things can happen as we have seen with Russia.

I do think the 33rd licencing round will happen, but even if not, Delt has enough assets to play with. Provided the team can deal make and monetise, then the share will be prove to be hugely undervalued.

Hence, I am holding and adding when I can. Not for the risk adverse mind you.

So no recession, interest spread stay high, if BARC cannot make good money for us, then they really are not competent and should wind up or sell to some grown ups.

Best thing and easiest CEO win is moving the listing to US. Really simple, you don't need highly paid consultants for that!!!

Politically, the windfall tax had to be done, but as you say, there are plenty of opps to offset the tax.

Lots of stuff going on behind the scenes no doubt under the auspices of national security.

I am not very concerned about this. My biggest concern is Delt progressing the assets, for the GCoS values to continue to go up. That will convert into real shareholder value in due course.

I my view it was a very deliverate plot to cover up and distract. CCS is a green story for them, so will balance out the message to an extent. They want the oil&gas explaoration to happen. If not, it will because of other forces, I genuinely think they are trying to get this going.

Of course he didn't mention the actual awards. It is clear it will be in the autumn, as you have seen yourself also on gov.uk, so not sure why you repeat this question again?! The whole thing was a PR and pre-election exercise.

Noel, where did the "bigotted" come from suddenly? I very much like facts and evidence. I have science background and do like to drill into the detail. I do not get fooled by superficial news headline and conspiracy websites, as they do not withstand any scrutiny whatsoever. If you want to believe them, fine, just keep it to yourself unless it has direct relevance to us as DELT holders or prospective holders.

My point is this: as an example, the UK energy policy within fossil fuel exploration and licencing does matter; so does drill results from DELT/SHELL drills etc etc.

All the generic policy stuff, pro green or anti green stuff is really not that relevant, as everybody here believe there is a place for DELT. If you want to influence politicians and others, you are really barking up the wrong tree, mate!

I believe this will happen, so holding and adding whenever I can.

As for the many other comments you have made, Noel: I am sorry to say you are very much off topic. Surely there must be another forum where you can discuss these more general issues? Ideally not here, it is really muddling everything up. Let's stick to DELT relevant discussions!

Noel, just to close this out from my side:

The official announcement (on gov.uk) is actually pretty clear. Most news outlets have chosen to spice it up as something new; in part to promote the agenda of ni more fossil fuel exploration in UK.

If you read the official version, it is clear (if you read the text in its entirety) that the 100+ licences referred to are part of the 33rd round. It's my interpretation that Sunak also commits to further rounds.

Also "The Government and the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) are today announcing a joint commitment to undertake future licensing rounds, which will CONTINUE to be subject to a climate compatibility test." Nothing new here!

We just need to wait!

Plus announcing licences makes more sense when closer to the winter as in all likelihood we are going to have surging energy prices, again, making a local energy story even more plausible. Just my take on this.

Noel, I am convinced it's all orchestrated; it's all about finding the right timing for their own political gains.

I don't really care too much as long as we get what we want!! We need to focus on the long game for us.

Hotticket, I agree, this is the real, core issue.

Whether you believe in climate change, the energy transition etc or not, there will be demand for oil&gas for many years and decades to come. National energy security needs are underpinning this.

Of course there is nothing wrong with using other sources of energy, but what's important for us is that Delt has a good opportunity to make money for all shareholders.

I agree, the political class is basically rotten; too much self serving stuff and we can talk climate, CO2 etc until the cows come home, but It would be really great if we could just stick to Delt relevant discussion in this thread.

As long as we get some licences (before Labour) for Delt and monetisation events, that's all that I really care about in this context!
