The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Thank you Dawski,
Can't agree more. It is brutal enough for JW and JT already. They have their hands full with multiple things ongoing. Whilst a lot of what is happening is not visible to us immediately, I think it is fair to say we have a very committed team who want to actually deliver a successful business. We have put our monies into the company already. Let's make our monies work by providing them with our vocal support as well. That's all I want to achieve.
Dear Whatamess,
I will not stoop to their levels. It is a pointless course of action. They have a voice and they have chosen to use it in the most vile form on Twitter and FB, and here, by being disingenuous and misleading.
You are absolutely right - we deal in hard facts that will be independently corroborated by DAERA. We too have a voice and we will use it to make our point.
Dear Whatamess,
I had some very strong views against the board coup in June 2017. They turned out to be correct and the two guys who engineered to coup eventually gave way to a team who have actually done this in the past and know exactly what needs to be done going forward. History is history and we must move on. What I am not prepared to do is to sit on the sidelines and watch these nonsensical protestors crater our share price for no justification whatsoever. As long term shareholders, we grew our respective pairs in 2017. I firmly believe that we need to grow them again and stand up to all this rubbish being floated around. If we don't support our management team, we are not supporting ourselves. All of us as shareholders own a little bit of this company and this is what we are fighting for.
Thank you Mr T,
I have sat this out and observed all of their shenanigans for the past 12+ months and I think it is time we as long term shareholders called them out for what they are - FAKE NEWS and disingenuous actors. They have zero appreciation for anything that JW and the team are doing and wish to create obstacles at every stage. Trouble is when they spout the same rubbish day in and day out, it becomes gospel and puts doubt even in the most rational minds. This is just not on. What amazes me is that they claim to be local residents and yet they are quite happy to have the next generation of boys and girls sitting idle without no employment and future for themselves and their future families. The harsh reality is that Islandmagee is one of the more impoverished areas. Having personally been there many times, the closest half decent takeaway is 3 miles away at Whitehead. There is no semblance of any social activity or even a "pub down the road". When you speak to the young and bright minds who live there, they would love to continue living there with their families but are now having to look elsewhere for a decent living. Infa is not attempting to be altruistic or to be a charity. But with a combined force of the Islandmagee gas storage project and Harland, why is it so difficult to understand the fantastic potential of rejuvenating Northern Ireland and make key areas happen again? We all care for the environment, the porpoises and the dolphins. That is why Infa are playing ball with DAERA and that is why those environmental conditions need to be strictly enforced and followed. But equally, charity begins at home. What of those young minds who want a future for themselves and who are being deprived by this mindlessness and drivel that is being bandied around? Northern Ireland is one of the few locations in NW Europe that actually has the potential of growth rates higher than most other locations. Looking at JW's strategy, we could not have asked for a more dynamic location sitting in one of the most stable sovereigns (regardless of Brexit). There is a bright future for the company, for its shareholders and for the people of NI. It doesn't require a London based company to figure that out. It should be warmly welcomed by the local community which, as Spud says, has been the case with the majority.
You are right, whatever JW does and says, nothing will change in this group's hearts and minds. I for one am fully supportive and wish this company great success on its journey.
Stublach is irrelevant in this context. Why don't you next ask about what the other 400 caverns across Europe have done this year? When boxed into a corner, do not obfuscate the issues by diverting attention to other meaningless questions. I have only the following questions for you based on the campaign that are running against Infa:
1. Do you have any third party independent environmental reports to back up your claims?
2. Do you have third party independent reports on Infa's construction methodology that you can dispute?
3. Do you have third party independent reports on the revenue generation capability of the gas store that stands in contrast to Infa's?
4. Given that you have constantly berated Infa about its financial position, do you have enough funds to run this protest campaign?
We shareholders have been very appreciative and are deeply impressed by your transparency and honesty. If the answers to the questions above are a resounding NO, please do be transparent and honest this time around as well. If all of the above are a resounding YES, we shareholders will arrange to provide you with enough cloud storage to upload these reports for us to read.
Till then, all you are doing is spreading FAKE NEWS, which has become more of a rule than an exception for protestors such as yourselves.
Spud,
LD has close interaction with the most vile comments on Twitter and FB. LD has not once condemned the behaviour and language exhibited against JT and JW for all these months. There is no use pretending to be nice and cordial here whilst spreading the viciousness on other channels, whether directly or indirectly. This is clearly a good cop/bad cop approach that the group has deployed. Trouble is, whether nicely delivered or not, baseless FAKE NEWS is still just that
LD, why play the victim card all of a sudden now that your flakey claims are being called out? Have the courage to stand up to your empty claims. Do not hide behind the curtain of "waiting for Infa's reports to come in". Show us your reports and your evidence to disprove all that Infa have been saying - how difficult can that be?
All you have done is throw mud at Infa, challenged their credibility and work on the basis of nothing but opinions at best and lies at worst. The shareholders are completely entitled to challenge your drivel. We have honest monies and aspirations invested here - what have you got invested at any level for that matter?
I couldn't agree more Speedy, by spouting words like "balanced" and "transparent" LD doesn't actually become that. If there is no real (not fabricated) evidence to back her claims, then she needs to stop spreading FAKE NEWS.
That's exactly right Spud,
What we have really established this morning are two things:
1. Both LD and JR have zero clue about what they are talking about
2. Both are rumour and fear mongering individuals
3. Both have ZERO evidence about anything that they are claiming
Welcome to the fantastic world of FAKE NEWS!
So here is the thing:
You claim that the hypersaline brine discharge will send sea creatures into toxic shock. Can you enlighten us on the following given the vast depth of your knowledge on marine biology:
1. What is the purported level of salinity
2. What is the discharge rate across every hour during a 24 hour period
3. What is the tidal flow and how does that impact on brine discharge
4. What exactly are these sea creatures that you are talking about?
5. What evidence do you have in the UK to demonstrate that sea life has not come back after leaching has been completed?
And given that you are so well versed on social media, I am assuming that you will have no problem in uploading your clear evidence backed and scientific reports backing up all your claims. I look forward to reading these detailed reports and I really mean it.
What does Stublach revenues have to do with Islandmagee? Given that you spend hours at every public consultation, can you please provide us ignorant shareholders why Stublach can be compared to Islandmagee except that both are salt caverns?
Thank you for the reports on Reuters and Bloomberg - how does that tie into your argument that we don't need gas storage in this country? As I said, you have mastered the art of manipulating information to suit your narrative such that all the bits that you throw out, when read together, just don't hang.
Finally, lets understand your position:
1. You have no scientific background nor any evidence claiming what you are claiming but will continue to protest on a rather flakey basis
2. You don't understand EU regulations and how they work but still have a strong public opinion about it
3. You have scant knowledge about how UK and global gas markets function and your only source of information are reports from Bloomberg and Reuters.
Your question from this morning becomes highly relevant now: Why should I or any shareholder for that matter be concerned with you? I think you have answered that question succinctly.
Since you are so
That's exactly right Brucealrighty,
it is high time we shareholders called these so-called experts out on their BS. But we probably already know their response, don't we?
Trouble is:
1. You don't post any evidence and when you do, it is redacted, edited and massaged to suit your narrative
2. You make unwise and unwarranted statements
3. You have a very clear agenda to scupper ANY and EVERY project in that region.
You don't concern me one bit. Life is way too short.....
So the point being?
We all know there is work ongoing and further work to be done. So what new are you telling anybody?
Insofar as your earlier is post is concerned, I don't think you need to be patronising and be glad that I was there or encourage SH to come to these consultations. We are adults and really don't need your hand-holding. I don't see anything wrong in having a couple of security guards manning the doors given that we have had government personnel in as well. So this is an issue more in your head than anyone else's. As far as I have seen, no one has really come up to you and had a conversation with you. You come, ask the same questions, over and over again, and then hang around. There are a number of shareholders every time and we happen to have eyes to see what is going on.
And guess what - we continue to hold and build further.
My sense is that you really have nothing to credibly say so your tactics are purely predicated upon scare-mongering and rumour-mongering.
Having followed Infa since the board coup in 2017 and having accumulated shares myself, I can only see a bright future for all shareholders.
This is an infrastructure play with typical gestation periods. Let's take a step back and understand that the current management team have been in their positions for just a year or so but what has been achieved is great. A project and a company that was moribund for 10 years has come to life. The Islandmagee gas storage project, the FSRU and now H&W - let's look at all these and appreciate the drive and commitment of the management team.
If this was easy, everyone would do it. They have picked up a company and taken it forward. It shows commitment, dedication and ambition.
