BV, I’ve been invested in SOU for many years until recently and maintain an interest in their fortunes. If the price continues to drop I might get back in but if I miss a giant surge I’ll lose no sleep as I have, overall, made money on SOU. Not as much as I’d hoped back in the day but those are the risks.

The point I tried to make is that this is a shoestring operation, too much dilution and farm out deals. They haven’t drilled in nearly ten years and there is no schedule to do so at least this year and probably next. I made the assumption that commercial sales were priced into the SP increase at the end of last year. It’s dropped below that now so maybe a 1p to 1.2p is a target for when that happens. If the price continues to drop it might be a buying opportunity.

I’m guessing by your tone that you need a lot more than that but it won’t happen until they drill and, even then, I doubt you’ll get even. It’s tough, hang in there or cut your losses.

I was in SOU in the £1 days but didn’t sell out. I did start selling as the price went down but kept a holding which ended up being almost worthless after the crash. A net profit but I regret not selling at the height. As I said in another post I sold out this time around at around 1p. Think of that…£1 to 1p. Around 1pm is probably about right but if you’re holding for a rise to 2p and beyond I think it’s a long wait. 10p….never in my lifetime.

I totally agree with you kylie75. I cashed out for a small profit a couple of months back. I could see the writing on the wall. More delays now confirmed in the recent RNS. Still no plan for future drilling which, in my opinion, is the only thing that’s going to move the needle. I don’t pay as much attention now as I have no skin in the game but have they said when first sales are likely to be. From the conference calls earlier last year they were saying Christmas 25 but that has come and gone. SOU’s interpretation of “first gas” seems to be quite flexible. I might buy back in if the SP keeps dropping which I believe it will. DJ

If only I had a crystal ball! My plan has been to get out of SOU as I’ve been in and around for years and can see the same pattern coming. I simply wanted to get out with a gain which I did. I’m not losing any sleep over the swift increase and can see the previous pattern is happening and I expect the SP to drop off. Good luck though.

The SP will start sliding back down after this mornings announcement. As I correctly predicted first gas was already built into the SP. As it stands the SP stands about 0.05p above Friday. Big whoop.

Job, I was also in SOU back in the Parsons “Golden Ticket” days. Didn’t sell soon enough though but did OK. Bought back in but just tired of jam tomorrow. As I said in an earlier post I may buy back in on a drop. This is a dodgy time to know which way the price will go.

I don't disagree that drilling is the next mover for SOU but it’s probably beyond my time frame. If the price drops +/-30% I might jump back in. If they can get some production it will provide support but this company has always been jam tomorrow.

I took the opportunity to sell my holding, about 1.7m shares at 0.86p, which is about 5% above my break even point. I simply don’t trust anything management says about first production. I think the market is building it into the price in anticipation. I don’t expect any great surge in price even if they do hit their target. I understand long term holders believing the dream but in this case I wish you luck.

He has to say that because that’s what’s the last RNS said. I am worried that the market has already priced in first gas, that there won’t be as big a market reaction as we think. Listened to a bit of the interview today, this natural hydrogen play is pie in the sky. I think the Sound guy said that there were no example commercial production but correct me if I’m wrong. He also said, at one point, “assuming the science works”. Sound at the forefront of anything, I don’t think so.

I’ve been a long term holder of SOU. Unfortunately didn’t sell qick enough when it reached £1 but still made some money on the way down. Rebought on new management and down about 20%. First gas? These guys overpromise but when it comes I’m hoping to get even and get out. 1p would do it for me and put SOU in the rear view.

I followed a few similar stocks here a few years ago and I see the idiocy continues. Someone said take a look at this company, which I did. If you didn’t sell at 13p you’ll not see that again. This looks a bit dodgy to me. Anyway good luck but I’ll pass.

I see that Amerisur has put itself up for sale. Their SP has leapt by 35%.on the news. Just imagine if we were to announce that we were for sale, our SP might also leap by a similar amount. We'd be north of 11p at this point. Happy days ahead!

Shed, could be you're right but a shake up would also show mugs like us that they have our best interests at heart. It's not going to happen either way. Not much we can do other than wait and see what type of deal they can make or whether we go back to drilling or perhaps Sidi can throw up a surprise.

He could also show them all the photos he took when the SOU investors visited the drill site but we're still paying a lot of money for that benefit. Make him a consultant, call him in when needed or just promote a more junior up and coming engineer. I have nothing against Brian, I'm sure he did his best, but it's tough times and drastic action is needed. I'd be looking at the entire senior management team frankly.
