I would look arounnd 2500p to rebuy more for longer term investors...

Can any traders make it clear as to why this stock has rebounded around 20% since last year, when we know that patents are going over the cliff,, thus asles are dwindling away...? I own AZN, GSK, NVS[ Novartis ] & JNJ { Johnson & Johnson ]. I would be happy to invest more of my pennies in this just for the fact its a good dividend stock, and did have the biggest asles revenue for a EU pharma, which is pretty much changed and will do for the next 3years I believe. views!

AZN has always outperformed GSK. AZN on the world scene is very much like Merck Inc. Pfizer has the best cost cutting principles in the pharmaceutical sector. The shares EPS is currently $1.97, but this is due having nearly triple the amount of current shares outstanding. They are going through a $8bn share buy back. Therefore, believe that Pfizer has a compelling story, though there blockbustter drug LIPTOR has lost patent in US.

This is showing strong bullish trends for the forthcoming 18mths. NAV 639p and has a div of 3.2%. Vale is top holding with 10.8% of portfolio. The Share Magazine in March 1st had it as a buy when 575p.

You mentioned I were deramping earlier on 24th Feb. All I'm doing is making naïve investors aware of pitfalls of buying when shares rise! Lol. Watch and learn. I still await 28th March, when US budgets will be passed properly. One other share to look at in the global industrial sector is SIEMENS. Its one that can be compared to GE & ABB Ltd.

The target Prices of 4400p for BATS will only be reached if the pound countinues to weaken agansit all other major currencies....DYOR. Tobacco stocks are defensive stocks, and pay an above average dividend, So pension funds will always be buying on DIPS, just like I did back when it crossed below the 200 DMA of 3180p. There the trend was 3500p, and I was not half wrong... I own both 400 IMT and 300 BATS now.

Piece of advice, NEVER BUY INTO A RALLY!

IMT is the cheaper to earnings of the two tobacco stocks, and more likely that you could gain from a potential takeover in IMT in the 2-3yrs. DYOR

Hey, All investors ignore Jange's rants on target prices. Think of fundamentals and you are fine. Tobacco is going through a new regulatory lifecycle, and could be impacted in big ways to next generation of kids regarding advertising. Target prices are never reached, thus, if you have no ethical beliefs, invest some of your cash, though GSK would be a better company, from risk factor point of view to dividend.

Hey Jange, Stop wasting investors time with all these silly longterm points, when round the corner the world has some major defense budget cuts in US about to be put through on 1st March. Secondly, don't confuse investors with numbers on target prices, they are NEVER reached! UnSure whether you are robitic, or just plainly bored and love copying and pasting in data from newpaper articles here. Its good, but just a bit over the top. There is more likely BAE will retest 285p in short-term. I have just sold my second holding at 350pn from 300p buy.

Which one would you go heavyweight on or two would you keep. I have 1280 in National Grid [ NG ], 1600 Centrica [CNA ] and 700 Scottish Southern Energy [SSE] I have £6000 in each, though £7000 in SSE. Which one is to be sold? Any Help is welcome...! Looks like I was right to follow the cautious outlook as Goldman is... Though remember Investors, 'SELL' ratings can sometimes mean a buy signal to traders. Therefore, what I am actually saying is to forget these sell, buy, and hold recommendayions. These are for the traders! If you think the markets are going lower you buy defensive stocks as they outperform the FTSE100. If you think the markets are going higher you buy riskier shares [ BP, RDSB, BLT, GLEN, KAZ etc ]... Hey fellow investors! I have three positions in blue-chip mining businesses; BHP, RIO & VALE. Of BHP Billition & RIO, would you invest slightly more in BHP over RIO, or wait until Mr Kloppers relinquishes his position to?
