It seems everyone assumes that when posts are advertised they are for new positions.
I would guess that most company recruitments are to replace people who have left for reasons of advancement, salary, family etc.

I have high blood pressure and have been testing positive and isolating for a week now. There has been absolutely nothing wrong with me apart from a slight runny nose. If I passed away from a heart attack today I would be counted as one of those deaths.
