Carve, that is a bit worrying. I was under the impression that they had the metal. Maybe not day to day movements but substantially. Does that mean there is a third party risk to fret about? I have large (for me) holdings in gold and silver ETFs.
I did not fancy gold bars under my mattress and thought this was a safer alternative.
Physical silver and gold ETFs have to buy the actual metal to match the quantities of paper sold.
eg in SGLN literature:
"Methodology: The metal backing the securities are always physically held."
Hi Coop,
Yes, sad day indeed. I wonder where the pink-hatted lady is now?
I am trying to stick to the main market now with the occasion small dip into AIM having lost loads on oilies and biotech outfits.
All the best to any Maggies listening.
Apologies for o/t chat about PQE. I have watched the latest video and can just about follow the multi-stage process. I am no petrochemical engineer but I can see this is a very complex process and it is no wonder they have not ramped up to high volumes yet as any glitches in one stage could hold up everything.
One thing strikes me though and I would appreciate a more expert view. The whole setup appears to be quite small and gives me the impression of a test facility rather than a production site. What do others think?
Partly due to more than 1 percent rise in value of sterling against dollar?

Agreed. Topped up 600k.
Hi Chris, good to hear from you again.
I only half took your advice at the top here. The remainder I held on to as like many I trusted Rita - more fool me. At least you had the guts to say what you had done, I do not think think Baron did. He just went on to greater things and now seems to be a big shot if you follow on Twitter.
Are you invested anywhere now? GL if you are and hallo to all the regulars. The good ship Maggie seems to have foundered on the rocks.
are not allowed to be held in an ISA. So I am not sure what happens after tomorrow's delisting, presumably your broker is forced to withdraw them. I believe if you have share certificates you can hang on and hope to trade them later.
Hardly a fire sale; there were about 20 trades recorded here of which only about half a dozen were even in 4 figures. I suppose they were the usual sell-on-news brigade who assume this will drift down until the next news. I am holding.
Confident or punt?
Hi Coop, Sorry to hear about your treatment; best of luck with that. Have a drink on me at your 60th - make it a small one though as I can't run to anything larger on Maggie's sp. I can recommend smidsy's comestibles to go with it. Regards from one of those "sitting in darkened room" (for nearly 6 years).
Baron put me (and many others) on to Hawk in 2013 when SP rose to 10 and 12p. He sensibly moved on; I being a beginner then held on. I should have learned after he helped pump MAGP up to 5p. I was about 50k up and did not sell that either. Lessons now learned.
Fantastic news for patients (and us LTHs). Top of share risers list - what will NASDAQ opening bring?
Baron seems to have become a big time trader. You can find him every day on Twitter @barondaytrading
