This Wednesday the Ministry of Energy and Mines signed a contract with the SolGold company for the exploitation of the Cascabel mining project, located in the province of Imbabura.
Located in the Lita parish, Cascabel represents an investment estimated at more than $4.2 billion over the 28-year useful life of the mine. This project not only promises economic benefits, but will also generate more than 3,700 jobs in the construction and production stages, providing significant opportunities to the local community.

The metal mining project has an area of 4,979 hectares, rich in copper, gold and silver.
