Hell of a lot more action in trades today. Unfortunately, most were sells in the first 15 mins or so hence the drop. Since then buys seem to have the upper hand. A couple of bigger buys going through.

We are currently in a weak uptrend which started about 5 weeks ago. The bottom of said trend is 345. The top is about 580-600 in January. A nice run up to results maybe. It's going to need something from the business though imo as the trend is weak.

Spain ICU bed occupancy by covid patients increased from 8% to 16% in 3 weeks. Not great stats to read.

Spain registered its highest daily number of new Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, with 49,823 cases recorded in the past day, the country’s health ministry said Tuesday.

The previous highest figure for Spain was recorded on Jan. 21, 2021, when the country saw a daily increase of 44,357 new coronavirus cases.

The daily ministry data does not break down cases by variants, but it released a separate report on Tuesday on all variants, saying "at the present time, the data drawn from sequencing of specific PCR indicates that there's a rapid substitution of the Delta variant by the Omicron."

The health ministry also reported Tuesday that 15.77% of all hospital ICU beds are now occupied with coronavirus patients. At the start of the month, a ministry report said the figure was just over 8%.

Bill is building a monster here and not hanging round doing it either. I'd be happy for him to stick to what we have now. Could do with cash generation so focus for me would be the iron. 12-18 months. Then we can really start to turn up the drills on the silver and copper.

Bill didn't have the luxury of time to be able to wait for the cash from the iron. Artemis clearly wanted to sell and some other company could have stolen it from under our noses.

Shame the SP was down here at 0.7 but what can you do.

Expect Artemis to be offloading though as I suspect they'll want the cash to pump into their core projects. Just my opinion

The message I get from this is that the vaccine is a silver bullet and as long as you have it you can do what you want when you want without testing. Very disappointed if the world goes the same route. Variants will be popping up left right and centre.

France will pass a law that will transform its health pass - currently needed to exercise some professions and to go to cinemas and bars - into a “vaccination” pass in the first half of January, government spokesman Gabriel Attal told journalists on Tuesday.

Reuters reports:

“The wave awaiting us will be high,” Attal said, adding that the Omicron variant accounts for 20% of new Covid-19 infections in France and is spreading rapidly, particularly in the Paris region.

The main aim of a vaccination pass will be to do away with the option of obtaining a valid certificate by testing negative instead of having the jabs.

In contrast to other European governments, Attal on Tuesday ruled out further restrictions, saying that the country had the means to battle the next wave of cases with its vaccination campaign and mass testing.

France logged 72,832 fresh infections on Tuesday, compared with 63,405 a week ago.

I see Boris is a man of his word regards Christmas. He said it would be better than the last one. In his eyes that means fewer restrictions so that is what he has delivered, fewer restrictions, regardless of what the science says. Sign of a weak leader?

Might be worth having one eye on London. It is currently the epicenter for UK and Hospitalisations are up 41% on last week.

Separate figures from NHS England show that 1,904 people were in hospital in London with Covid-19 as of 21 December, the highest number since 2 March and up 41% from a week earlier.

I think the real close is 364.

Extremely quiet day today both chatter wise and volume. The last hour of trading perked up a little with the buys winning roughly 27k to 10k ish. Excluding the big 14k after hours. Not sure what happened there but can't see how it can be right at 381 when true close was 364.

She held up well today I thought given the little support buyers were giving.

The 367 support still stands the 200ema is closing in now around 376 and looks quite a strong resistance given we have failed at it twice already. 10-20p is not a big trading range at all so one is going to pop soon in my opinion. I can only hope for a bit of positivity from the bod as the testing boom seems to be doing very little to convince the market.

Unfortunately, most patients in hospital with Covid since 23 Nov. 7801. This is the important number to watch now. If Omicron is just as severe and capable of navigating those antibodies that offered 95% protection against Delta then unfortunately it will feed through in the Hospitalisations. It's been almost 4 weeks since it's arrival on these shores.

Optimistic at the moment but the next few days will be very informative imo.

Lewis, you're being irrational. H1 was £54, FY21 guidance is £100m. I expect £110m. TA is all that is in play at the moment and the 367 is putting up a good fight, it's just waiting for buyers to come in and help it out. I'm spent up, sorry

Unfortunately it appears the bears have it today. Buyers no confidence. If 367 support fails then imo 319 is a pretty strong support supported also by the 50ema.

Well, very quiet this morning. Probably the most quiet for a long time. 26 trades so far.

Seems the traders are all waiting for each other as to which way the SP will go. Will it bounce off the 367 support or will it break and hold the 200ema at 377.

It also appears that the deathly silence from the bod is doing nothing to entice new investors or even current investors to increase their holdings despite all the positive sentiment around global testing. Do potential new investors even know about us or are they indeed just put off by the silence. Either way, Omicron doesn't appear to have yet changed anything for us from an SP perspective.

Is the market tentatively awaiting news from Boris regarding restrictions?
Will the Biden conference hold any bearing in our SP?
Is it just a positive RNS that is required to ignite the rerate?
Will traders continue to have the playground to themselves?

Let's wait and see but I certainly won't be selling down here.

Depending on the severity of the result of the meeting will determine the strength of an afternoon rally.
