Update on Tuticorin Smelter Vedanta Resources plc's subsidiary Vedanta Limited today made the below announcement. The Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, in the PIL filed against the Company, has stated that the application for renewal of Environment Clearance for the Tuticorin Copper Smelter plant 2 project, shall be processed after conduct of mandatory public hearing and the application shall be decided by the competent authority on or before September 23, 2018. In the interim, the High Court has ordered the Company to cease construction and all other activities onsite for proposed Copper Smelter plant 2 project with immediate effect till the decision of the MoEF.

which listing of Sibanye is LMI SP tracking? SBGL (U.S.: NYSE) or SGL:SJ? one is quoted in USD the other SA rand? i want to know what currency movement i should be looking at.. USD/GBP or rand/GBP. i bought some SBGL a couple of days ago. at the moment exchange rate has been steady at around 1.35 but was 1.40+ a few weeks ago. i'm thinking maybe it will rise back to that level and making SBGL a better buy? its unknown at this time which listing LMI shareholder's will receive shares in? thats if the takeover goes ahead of course.

i'm seeing the 203p as the lower of a bearish channel. we could see a bounce up to 240s with a good tail wind i.e. positive sentiment / news. will probably take a few weeks or even months though.
