Violindog quite agreeid much rather have 1% of a lot than 100% of nothing. But there seems to be a lot of excitement about potential of nasdaq but really what we need is do some commercial not acadamic deals and publicity. Granted nasdaq would give us more publicity and access to raise further funds but would mean further dillution. Whereas if results are good surely we should get plenty of publicity and secure multi commercial deals without dillution? And if deals are sufficient size we shouldnt need any further dillution? Also no one answered previously if we do have a dual/tri listing do the shares have parity? Or would our shares be 2nd class and worth less than those listed on nasdaq?
I hope for all sufferers of alzheimers that todays widely reported news is a truer reflection of the results then what was being reported 2 days ago? https://www.fiercebiotech.com/biotech/eisai-biogen-rocked-second-alzheimers-death-report-ahead-lecanemab-data-reveal
RR I'd personally be surprised if there was another dilution now, as upto October 2021 they had just under £36m I appreciate a lot is and has been going on but would think that buys us enough time to get data to secure a deal. But admittedly have no idea of cost for these trials. However, i do understand your point if the bod dont believe a deal will be done shortly then makes more sense to inject cash now rather than wait for it to deplete (weaker negotiation stand point and always causes concern and downward movement for shareprice). I guess we wait and see
Probably being overly optimistic but on morning live (bbc show) this morning it mentioned that there would be a report on new cancer breakthrough in tomorrows show. Didn't say at what stage it was or anything else but did make me wonder whether it could be about scancell? That would be a shot in the arm for the l sharepirie if it was
Hi Tf. I wouldnt really call 4 ready to go news. If it was released it would be rather underwhelming and prob have opposite to desired effect on sp. It was announced at start of april that modi trial was recruiting and 6 weeks later we still havent started so its pretty obvious that would have some ready to go. Its more disappointing that yet to start and until they actually do start still opportunity for them to pull out for all range of reasons so not really rns warranted because as of yet nothing been achieved (i recognise a lot of work has been done but paperwork and checks etc are not exactly newsworthy).
Konar, with regards covid yes i think its safe to say theres been delays. Was announced in july 21 and by xmas we had recruited 4 (i think it was 4) in a country crying out for a vaccine. Even the most pessimistic shareholder would have hoped for more after 5 months so yes delays. Also the adjusted protocol was rns'ed back in March (29th) and yet theres been further delays. So not new delays but ongoing. So other then confirmation nothing catastrophic happened theres been nothing new warranting a rns (disappointingly). As said before scientifically v impressive but are terribly slow and still yet to be convinced the bod have commercial nouse. But still believe science will eventually come good. Not to be negative but honest there was nothing in that shared email that warranted a rns as we already knew everything mentioned and no important milestones have been reached yet such as fpd
To be fair there isnt anything in bobbust reply which is new. Reassuring maybe that nothing catastrophic has happened but you dont release an rns just to say still progressing further news soon. The only other thing that might count as new is further delays with covid trial (but weve had so many delays this is a further delay rather than a new delay) but i dont think any of us would want them to release an rns for that as that would definitely have a negative impact on sentiment and share price. Not being funny but frustratingly it seems theres nothing to report at present hence no rns. Anyway thanks for forwarding bobbust. But i live in hope as always for left field news or a surprise deal
I agree in one way it shows strong confidence that what scancell have is worth developing and expediating. The only negative I can see is it could suggest deals are not imminent as if we were likely to do a deal with a major pharm then I'd imagine we would use their facilities and having our own facilities would not be necessary. Equally could be a sign a deal is imminent and we're already spending the money that is due to be confirmed. Admittedly not adding much to the conversation but I personally see today's announcement as positive. Not surprised sp hasn't increased as i think the only thing that will significantly increase our sp will be positive data from trials or deals being announced (again I appreciate I'm not adding much here either). As always I'm looking forward to the next rns and what it may contain? Gla

Hi, just to put my two penneth in. I have no problem with Lindy being rewarded for her new role especially as she's been the driving force of scancell but I fail to see how this can perceived as sign of news imminently. Yes I suppose its good news that a PI and an II want to buy a fair quantity more but that's the only positive I can see here. I actually think this suggests we could be waiting longer than expected for the next positive news for 2 reasons 1) why would you sell shares just before an event that would increase the share price and 2) wouldn't lindy be in a close period if news (positive or negative) was about to drop. Overall its necessary business and I'm more than comfortable with it but struggling to see why some see this as a bullish announcement. Anyway as always hope I'm wrong and we have a blockbuster news tomorrow.
