I think this is part of the project referenced in the August 13th RNS.
CBRS and C-band will be key in 5G and WiFi 6. Think about the market size of those technologies and the potential for FW to get a chunk of that with its spectrum controller and connectivity as a service.
Add to that the vast potential in Spin Memory if they can disrupt the market for non volatile memory and the ALM SP looks cheap. Hopefully in the long run we’ll all be rewarded for holding.
As much as I want to see a big profit already on paper, I’m glad at the same time that I can keep buying every month. More profit in the long term hopefully!
I think it would be too early to sell or float FW.
We’ve still got the C-band auction coming up in December which again will make the market for FW services even bigger.
Hopefully FW are loading up with customers after the CBRS auction and will get even more after the C-band auction. Give it 6-12 months after that to see what revenue is being created and that would be a good time IMO to float/sell. That kind of ties in with the timescales reported in the last annual results which said up to three years to mature.
Until then there might not be much to interest short term traders. This provides good opportunity for longer term investors though. I’ll be using it as an opportunity to continue buying whilst the SP is so low.
All in my opinion, other views are welcome!
Also look at the volume of shares traded today. The numbers are tiny. Little trades can swing the share price quite a lot here at the minute. This doesn’t change the companies fundamentals. As was said previously, this share will need patience but I believe it will reward those who stick with it.
Spin are presenting at the 31st Magnetic Recording conference at 18.40 BST tomorrow. If anyone comes across a free link to watch before or after, it’d be great if they could post it here!
More good news for FW
I absolutely agree with what you’ve said, I’ve not much to complain about. The past few weeks have been very positive.
I’d just love to hear more about Spin. FW post about their progress quite a lot on LinkedIn but Spin post very rarely. I guess that conference Spin is taking part in on the 20th August will have more info.
I think ALMs PR company “Instinctif Partners” is clearly not very good. You would have thought that Spins breakthrough would have been announced via RNS too.
Again, more good news in that RNS today. Fed breaking into markets outside the US.
Thanks for posting that article
So on top of their other IP and innovation around MRAM they’ve said:
“This breakthrough allows for drastically improved density for almost every memory technology on the market without requiring an investment in specialized hardware or resources.”
It will be very interesting to see their presentation on the 20th August to see how novel this is and hopefully how they intend to commercialise it! It seems the market could be huge but let’s wait and see what they say.
Spin Memory and Federated Wireless both doing the business for us!
Exactly what Jeffa said
FW won’t be bidding, they aren’t on the list of registered bidders. FW are in the business of managing and deploying CBRS networks, not owning them. The companies who win these auctions will (hopefully) go to FW to manage and deploy their networks.
