Democracy is failing and we may be witnessing the rise of the dictators, Trump included if he stays for a third term. As you say, once this things are brought in they will be utilised against whomever they choose.

JB - I’ve been looking to my own country for leadership for the last 30 years…alas, we seem to be lacking in ANY politicians who are in any way patriotic.

It is with a heavy heart that I believe we need to led by the nose out of this mess…

Agreed Dip, but I for one would rather live in a world led by the US than one led by China, Russia or Islamism, who are all on the March in their own ways.

You have to ask yourself though SAB, who is responsible for the situation we now find ourselves in?

30+ years of terrible, self harming geopolitical decisions across the western world that have handed more and more power and influence to our adversaries.

What is happening now is an attempt to rebalance that power and influence back in favour of the US…whether that is possible after sliding so far remains to be seen, but it needs to be attempted.

As with any huge change, things almost always get worse before they get better, but if Trump doesn’t kick off WW3, he may well have made some of the most important geopolitical decisions in many decades.

We will see…

Without The Donald at the helm the US would have continued its slow decline, and along with it the rest of the western world…
