Update:

Mother in law had the Pfizer vaccine yesterday and the wife asked about how will we know if it has worked and will they be testing for antibodies etc , the two members of staff looked a bit sheepish and said err no ,
then added well we don’t usually test
with normal flu ! ( well we know that ! )
The dilemma is the mother In law has been
in lockdown since March and wants her old life back ,so we would pay for a test if it comes to it ! Her second jab is booked in for the 8th January

Perhaps with the AstraZeneca vaccine things will be different fingers crossed

Not sure the wife received a text to call and book her mother’s appointment and they just said it will be at the evington medical centre ( which is her usual gp practice )
I will post more information as soon as,
Obviously because she ( mum in law ) is very frail the key questions will be about how and when will antibody tests be given , because surely it will be negative pr if the old folk are not tested ? and just released back into society?

That’s what I thought but the wife said the location is at Humberston ?

Mother in law who’s 84 is booked in for her first covid vacation next Friday in Leicester at her GP practice?
the second vaccination is early in the new year etc , so I have primed the wife to ask about follow up antibody test/ing
although hopefully we will hear ODX good news early in the week

Yes I think we will see a yearly vaccination or when antibody levels drop ( more than likely for the vulnerable) and follow up surveillance tests ....

I have some US stocks in my lloyds share dealing isa ( not every platform allows
this ) obviously there’s the currency fluctuation to take into consideration but it’s all good , I just hold STE because I had

Tier 3 have around 23 million people
to be mass tested following the success in Liverpool , proof that covid levels can be brought under control and then followed by antibody testing in conjunction with the vaccine/s next year then repeat with
booster campaigns .....

It’s beginning to look a lot like Xmas !

So we are talking around 7 million in tier 3

Widespread testing being rolled out across all tier 3 areas , tested until we squeak!

The consortium is actively looking at other markets across the world including the US and yes this will generate better margins.
