Disappointing share price4 Jun 2020 13:13
I have been giving this some thought. I realise there is a theme about a reduced interest in coivd-19 shares which may have a slight impact on share price, and although yesterday I argued against people saying the reduction in share price was linked to the non- reimbursement by the French, I think this may in fact be a factor. The reason I argued against that being a reason was that I knew some weeks ago that the French were unable to place an order because of their requirement for that to be based on two genes when novacyt has only one.
However in the absence of any other explanation, I think it may well have been the case that it was the none order from the French that caused the problembecause the rns on the 2nd specifically brought this to the market's attention. (But please remember this was previously known)
What other company includes in a rns to the market information that is not required and creates a negative atmosphere about the share?
As this is the 5th rns in a row that has led to a drop in share price, I really do wonder if the company needs to think more carefully about the content of rns(s) and not invite negative speculation by naïve reporting.
I have not lost confidence in the company and I am holding, but theses rns(s) are making it more and more difficult.
I intend to address this at the next AGM.
