I sold out at about low 15pounds in 2012 and have had a finger on the buy button not long after but not yet pressed might be tempted if it reach 120 by end of week
They just published a article online headline are insiders buying Petrofac would put link on here but not sure how to do it good fair article
Yeah agree Paddyboy polly peck different gavey but just replying to E _AL that petrofac is not in trouble/risky the SP down over 70% in just over year then if that not trouble i dont kown what is most covid and oil stocks are recoving well pretofac is going other way i been in this game nearly 40 year my gut feeling something is not right
I can remember polly peck haveing better fundamental s than that look what happens to them Investing in companies that are under investigation by SFO its not investing it pure gambling for christ sake its been 3 years and still going on yeah the fundamentals look good but they can change very quickly like a massive fine for instance shorters are not intrested in fundamental s that why they make so much money
Takeover thats ridiculous service companies likes petrofac that are in trouble dont get takeover they left to rot like carillion was not saying petrofac will go under but to be taken over that a Big no no i am afraid
We been over this many times before aviva liability his low and his well covered lot of businesses was simply not covered the media are making it more dramatic than it really is believe me
I did post few years that once the SFO got hold of you they never let go i did say at the time the only hope was they mess up like they have in past with other cases but this case they didn't and they seem to be getting stronger and are not going away anytime soon
Dog of share that one really made me laugh sage has made small time investors millionaire s when it floated in mid eighties amazing company
12 November 2020
Retired Copper you are probably right about bind faith the previous BOD s with some very experienced members too would not spilt the Company despite big pressure of the city to do so so obviously they see there was risks there personally i think we do good i think the consumer company shares will be well sought after by private and institutional investors Terry Smith even quoted before Christmas he looking to buy in to the consumer company but not the Biopharma company
One of the main reasons one company spilt s in to different companies is to create value to shareholder and more times that not this happens ok might not see the spectacular return s when British Gas spilt in to 3 companies in the nineties but we do ok
Zebbo dont think they get a chance to buy the biopharma company with so many exciting products in the pipeline it will have to be one hell of a premium
Zebbo personally i think there no chance of a full takeover next year but when the spilt happen then that different the consumer company will be in the shop window at the right price and there be plenty of interest that a sure thing
See it done it could get close today gsk is going well today
It seems ike the good run of battered covid stocks is slowing down and investors are going bit more defensive tobacco and pharmaceutical has done well past few days
Yeah flatnonse i just happy with the dividend s i be leaving my to my grandchildren just my like grandfather left me some in the mid eighties cant remember exactly when he brought them but i kown they only cost him about 50 pence a share must have been early 70s
Seaking 1 couldn agreed with you morei i wouldnt sell at 20 either and yeah divvy great and i too very bullish on the spilt and really think the consumer company will get taken out and the shares in the consumer company will be well sought after and will fly after they listed why buy Unilever or Reckitt benckiser by gsk now when in about 2years time you can have smilar company had lot cheaper price that s why i brought a load more last week
Yeah and a very disrespectful comment too
Denby paid 13.87 yeah you may be right wasn't easy decision to sell rio and listening to the well respected Simon Gergel from merchant trust did it for me but i have sold rio high and brought gsk low i v
Yeah been thinking off doing for past few weeks yeah rio been really good very volatile at times but that mining for you really like your portfolio looking to get into imps myself when dividend cash comes available
