My favourite bit of the Heron part of the RNS is this:

“At the local level, the Company continues to engage with stakeholders and has also offered support to the province which is suffering from wildfires on the steppe due to recent dry conditions.”

So basically, the previous bribes of building wells sorting out their waste failed, so they are not offering support for the wildfires. Presumably this support will be financial of some sort and not MB getting his erm, hose out. So more of shareholders (our) money being handed over in Jiffy bags. Am I really the only person here that is annoyed with this?!

Will this bribe - sorry, support - do us any favours.? Time will tell.

Firstly, I’d argue many of the posts on here are not from long term holders, WOS being the obvious example.

Secondly, I specifically addressed such “rampers” who have targeted those who have an alternative view that isn’t 100% a positive one.

Thirdly, I didn’t realise all posts had to be for, or taken into account, LTHs only!

My point remains - there have been some posters on here, specifically WOS, iamrich, Hamm (although I can’t take that flip flopper seriously) and sadly in recent times Master82 who have been extremely aggressive to those who dare to question Matad or aren’t “100%, guaranteed, any day now…”.

Have I missed anything?

Ojay, are you really that simple? There is a massive difference here… I’m not someone who has been spouting off that the LP was coming “any day now” for the last 6 months. Honestly, you are rising fast up the nonsense poster board.

If there was a chance LP would arrive within the next few weeks, why bother releasing an RNS? And don’t say it was for Velociraptor because they could have released an RNS for that the day before or even during spudding taking place.

As curious says, those that have ramped this to high heaven, but more specifically those that have made derogatory comments to those that were concerned or not convinced by the “guarantees”, should show some humility and apologise. Or at the very least admit they got it wrong.

I think an apology is now due. You absolutely flew at those who reckoned LP would continue to be delayed and my September prediction. Completely unnecessary, when it was just an alternative view, which sadly now looks like it will be correct.

WOS - you are off filter now as I want to read what nonsense you now write, given that you have been wrong, wrong and wrong.

As for this RNS, there is NO urgency from the MG. Can we at least agree on that? Thornogson makes some good points below and I’ll be reappraising my own position and whether to trim my holding here. They’ll be no full sale yet, though.

Personally, I have now all but written off us getting any oil out of Heron this year.

Master - in that case, why wasn’t LP given 6 months ago or within the 1-3 months quoted?

I’m the other way around. There have been endless delays and continue to be. Until the opposite is proved (LP finally given), I’ll continue to expect no news!

How about because we are STILL waiting?! Genuine question - when exactly did the right to grant LP legally move from local to central government? I honestly can’t remember.

But it’s been a long time so why the continued delays? Presumably because they don’t want to p155 off the locals (voters). So, if the locals continue to really dig their heels in and cause all manner of issues, the government might decide to not bother extracting oil in that area because, as has been mentioned, there is plenty of oil elsewhere.

Clearly, I hope this doesn’t turn out to be the case. But it’s rumbling on and on. May quickly disappearing and another month gone.

Anyway, there’s a genuine reason why it could go wrong.

Re all this continuing “LP any day now”, this has been said for 6 months. I’ve been vocal about how frustrating it has been, but really it does need to happen soon or at the very least MB needs to deliver some other good news. All we’ve had from him in the last year was a false promise from the mining minister about “1-3 months for LP” and a request for more cash from shareholders.

Time to deliver some tangible and actual good news.

Certificate of Incorporation just exactly that, confirming set up on 15th May, signed by Mark Edwards - Senior Registration Officer.

Memorandums and Articles of Association just has Premier Nominees as the only subscriber, so just the nominee company who has custody of the shares, signed off by a Phaedra Selina Bird.

The Articles of Association which I thought might give something is just basically standard T&C’s such as this “14.11 A Shareholder shall be deemed to be present at a Shareholders' meeting or a meeting of a class of Shareholders if that person participates by telephone or other electronic means and all Shareholders participating in the meeting are able to communicate with each other.”

Absolutely nothing to whet our appetite further.

Best guess would be that it’s to do with renewable energy and the work we’re doing there.

I hope they don’t spin it off as a completely separate entity and we see the benefits if it is.
