Very true, both BP and Manx. To counter again, there was never a shortage of energy, but rather a lack of infrastructure. Plenty has now been put in place, hence energy prices falling and no concerns for the coming winter or beyond. Long term, Russia can’t keep giving away its oil for next to zero.

I think there’s plenty to go yet with this Wagner story. And if incredibly Russia does manage to persuade the West it’s not reformed, it’ll be a long time before sanctions are loosened.

Regardless, all that matters to us right now is still the LP. And maybe a successful drill on V1.

Even if Putin was toppled and a more moderate leader installed, I doubt the West will go back to Russian oil and gas.

If talking about the likes of myself, BP, CaC etc then that is a completely false statement and you know it. Shareholders are allowed to be balanced, and even negative.

Alan - why didn't you think we'd see this back below 4p? Nothing has happened since we were 1.6p in December, other than words, failed promises, a 20% shot a Velociraptor and a cash raise. So you could say that to be at 4p, or 3.8p, isn't too bad?

I'll be mildly surprised if they don't have some decent(ish) news lined up to land just before the AGM. Or at least significant detail for the upcoming H2 trials.

I can't imagine what the atmosphere will be like if they have nothing. Contrary to what some think (i.e. those that didn't actually go to the AGM), the AGM last year was not a fun experience for them and difficult questions were asked. However, it was relatively soon after the P3 disappointment, everyone was still trying to understand what went wrong and the hope was we'd be on a platform trial. Oh, and the SP was 30p, not 7.5p.

iamrich - not sold out. But then you know that. Bought more at 4.2p, still in profit, but what was a very nice profit at 7p is now just an ordinary looking profit.

Wigster, re-run those numbers with LP at 66.6%.

Dockerman, the risk/reward is good, hence why I'm invested. But it's by no means a certainty. But thinking sensibly, we have to assume Velociraptor will disappoint as the odds are clearly against us. So for me this is still about Heron and the LP. And I don't think that's a done deal, despite what WOS might think.

1. LP lands and raptor is a success? 20-30p, possibly more if it's good quality oil, upper end of estimates volume wise etc

2. No LP and raptor is success? 10-20p

3. LP lands and raptor is a duster? 12-15p

4. No LP and raptor is a duster? Initially 2-3p but eventually drifting to sub 2p with our hopes left on the renewables adventure.

Iamrich, let's assume Velociraptor fails (do you at least acknowledge that statistically this is more likely to fail than succeed?) and the LP doesn't arrive until after the Velociraptor results, do you really think the SP will be 5p+?

That would be nice. But traders might look at this and think it’s likely Velociraptor will fail (80% chance of this) at which point IF the LP still hasn’t arrived the SP will probably tank to 2-3p. Then buy in and hope LP arrives and make a stack of cash.

More bizarre actions from the company. I have to agree with DocD. The SP would need to get back up and beyond the £1.75 raise price for any rewards to be justified, IMO.

The AGM is only one week away and yet can’t come soon enough. I do hope they hold a Q&A session as they did last year and don’t try to swerve anything.
