As ever with RNS’s, it’s woolly and thin on detail. It say “likely to include” and then details two different types of trails, but is there more?

SS said at the AGM privately that it would likely be January, which is H1. But are they playing it safe and not wanting to over promise, so just saying H1 rather than early or Q1 2024 just in case?

Hopefully, RM will take on board the feedback about zero comms and will do an interview to clarify all of this and more. It’s clear shareholders are getting frustrated.

I can’t work out what MrCosts is trying to achieve here. The SP is already in the gutter. Nothing he says here will influence us, never mind the BOD of SNG. I think it must have just sent him a bit loopy.

The local government were/are responsible for allowing MATD to extract oil. A local government that is elected/supported by...the locals! So of course they are "donating" to the whole local community, to get them on side. Do you think MATD were doing this purely out of the goodness of their hearts?! If so, why this particular area of Mongolia and not another? Because... this area is very important to MATD and we needed the locals to play ball!

As for how much we've spent, I don't recall they've ever put a hard figure on it, but if anyone can confirm I'd be grateful. But it could be 1p or £1 million, the point is we have paid to try and get the locals on our side. Now I know what I call that.

Master, you have completely lost the plot. The waste clean up project would not have been free. And as I stated, there have been other charitable donations (bribes) given to the locals.

Investor33: this recent move lower is nothing to do with dodgy MMs. It is simply what happens when a piddly AIM company that makes zero money, and requires cash raises frequently, fails to deliver.

I’m beyond disappointed this has dragged on for so long but the hard facts are that this was 1.6p in November and saw a big rise because MB came out of hiding to say the MG/Mining Minister had told him in October that it was all fine and would be sorted within 1-3 months. But here we are, still unable to extract any oil. One could argue that to be up ~100% despite that, and a cash raise to boot, is not bad!

Sadly, this is drifting back to the raise price of 2.5p unless news drops very soon.

I’m guessing rejects should be projects? But you just be absolutely kidding me. We’ve always tried to bribe the locals with new wells, sponsoring local sports teams and some waste clearing shenanigans. All for nothing. To say we should now be donating more? Unless I’ve misunderstood your post?

Bantham, just looking on Bloomberg and taking out the likes of HL and II who are holding stock for PI's, the bigger institutional holders are the likes of Chelverton (a well known small/microcap manager) and Polar Capital, although I'm struggling to locate which fund it's in. But it's all small fry stuff.

There's also a hedge fund with around 5%, Global Frontier Investments, but I don't know anything about them.

Completely agree, though. There's no way they can raise cash down at these levels. I'm sure they'd love to because looking at the post below, it does seem Newland likes an annual raise!!

Hamm - I reckon you’re teetering… on the brink of an almighty flop back to the dark side! So close to the 2’s, if we go there you’ll definitely implode.

This is totally as expected IMO. A few on here said that if there was no news we’d drift back to 3p or worse. Even my September prediction looks hopeful now. If you still think we might at least have a resolution pre Christmas (not necessarily production) then I do think 3p could be a good entry point.

Where did I say I or anyone else cares? I’m merely correcting moveonup’s assumption that the refinery would be ready next year.

FWIW, I think the refinery is irrelevant to MATD’s short and medium term.

Spacman - is your previous theory of some kind of spac arrangement in the US now not on the cards?
