I think a lot of us in this share bought in at much higher levels were reeling yesterday due to the vast onslaught.

I'm going to ride this out and see where we go, c75% is a current paper loss, with a loss that big I'm hoping to get some bounce back. By my reckoning they've got 6 to 9 months for some demonstrable and significant strides in the right direction.

It is just possible that:

1) Reasonablish airline sale(s). Any buyer wants a consistent going concern, if TCG gets broken up it would prove chaotic to a buyer as they want the TCG bookings business feed

2) They must extend the store closures, at least by a third or half

3) Get rid of Fankenstein

4) Pair back some of their businesses as they cover too much (e. g. Money side)

5) They then might make what's left look attractive to Fosun for them to make an offer.

6 to 9 months at best to try and turn this around otherwise it is a debt for equity swap and something like Interserve all over again

Totally agree. They needed a more bullish statement on the airline sale and future Outlook for TCG. Fankenstein just comes across as someone perpetually shatting themselves

Hi all. I read this back in April. Looks like the vultures have been circling for a while and they will do everything they can to protect the position they have taken - perhaps even ramping up the heat to make the company collapse via various conduits friendly to the Hedge Funds (like companies spouting zero value).

I wondered if there might be a restriction on them buying but it would be handy to know if there were constraints on them purchasing

Even BoD sees shares as junk as they haven't bought any at these loopy low prices.

The media carnage on top of the results carnage is tarnishing this brand now. No one is going to want to book a holiday with a company that looks like its going bust. Fosun might even back off now to get bits far cheaper when it goes bust in 9 months. It's airline offers will be low due to its vulnerable position.

Everyone talks about the HG turnaround and she clearly did a good job and knew what she was doing but these are very different times and also Fankenstein and his acolytes are the problem and have been playing around with the picture for a while to make it look a bit prettier without having a real clue. I bought 30k worth at 38p so have been roasted royally on this one because I stupidly thought it was too big to fail.

TUI doesn't have a bunch of clowns on BoD, that's why.

Just being honest guys, PF is the chief architect of this shambles, leaving him in charge would be like promoting the captain of the Titanic.

Have seen no indication of BoD Dealings which doesn't bode well at these low bid prices. Maybe some news tomorrow on this, hopefully. If they have bought any it will be telling to see the quantity and how much they are committing to the company.

I think it was blind hope. You can't reason 40p or 80p currently considering the state of the mess at the moment.

Hi all. I am new to posting on this board but have been an avid reader of your TCG postings. I am quite heavy in TCG and sadly bought at 38p (wail wail).

It's clear the BoD have historically been dorks and PF appears clueless but hiring this Jamie guy and the humorously named Will Waggott are good hires, that coupled with the strategic review and 300m loan all helps as well as having to sell some of the family silver in the firm of the airlines.

However today is predictably proving calamatous and my paper losses are eye-watering and the Moody's downgrade was grim.

I feel and think that they may make some headway in their turnaround and part way through their turnaround they will take the easy option and sell out to Fosun, probably in around 6 to 12 months.

TUI is a different kettle of fish, they have a bigger mass and a BoD that isn't made up of twits.
