I'm sorry for your predicament, rarse, and for the abuse from some. Social media brings out the worst.

My tuppence: Havieron is a fantastic deposit, Telfer has at least a few extra years, POG has further to run, GGP board are serious heavy hitters, and it sounds like that Macquarie note was a hatchet job from a group with a 'track record' - other brokers have not followed. I'm holding.

1am (1.15 for most delayed price sites, I think).

News re Ernest Giles, and a deeper understanding of Havieron and Western Deeps ! makes me now think I need to stick around for an exciting ride much longer than my last 4 months discovering this great company. Onward and upward - or downward.....groan :-)

Nice IC article incoming. Reiterated buy. Trading at very large discount to NAV.

Any thoughts on why such a large discount ? Valuation seems sound.

Trying not to get too excited.

Lots of concern on the board over time about AIM shenanigans, understandably.

But if someone wanted a lower price at close would they seriously have to put in such a large trade, 12.8m shares ?? Surely a few (much smaller) trades would be more than adequate, and safer.

Could there instead be a legitimate reason for the trade? Asking for a friend.

Pretty sure that many/most nstitutions will have overbid, knowing full well they wouldn't get their full allocation. And a proportion will be in it mostly to stag it. Also, many Aus PIs and Institutions would have been able to buy on AIM during last few weeks. So wouldn't expect TOO much before results, IMHO.

Martin, I believe Wyloo already have an option on that remaining 10%.

As I understand it, this was the 10% that Newmont owned. Actual sale was optional, and did not have to be transacted if demand had been weak.

Anyone have any clear indication or informed view as to the percentage of shares applied for that UK applicants are likely to receive ?

Nathman, my understanding is that the timing of selling the 10% is discretionary. It can be up to 10% to fill offers, zero, os somewhere in between.

Which allows SD to decide how much to fill after close of offer.

I don't know that it would be at a lower price, but if I were listing a company I would not want my new listing to perform badly in the first few days of trading. I would like good PR and early (Aus) investors to be happy. So would, all other things being equal, edge towards the lower side of a fair price.

But I don't know this. The price could well be at the AIM market rate. Or at a higher price to benefit Newmont. Or some other factor takes primacy.

As 16p was the updated 'illustrative' price, it enhances credibility by finalising the offer at 16p.

The nature of the book build appears to allow a lot of flexibility. Not all available shares have to be provided at the cross listing launch. To me it makes sense to list at 16p and then help manage sales for a while to ensure a smooth, steady rise (hopefully). But I'm not the boss man. This is just my guess. And of course it depends on the level of demand. If it's hugely oversubscribed then a higher offer price probably makes sense.

My personal take on the retail offer:

SD has a lot of choice as to how many shares to sell into the market at ASX launch (as I understand it, up to, but not committed to, approx. 12.5% of total shares, including Newmont 10%). He is likely to be able to choose a fair price. Would others agree ?

I doubt any company wants their share price to fall within days of a new listing.

Friday close in 17's, so the illustrative price of 16 (old money) looks a decent bet for listing at open on 23rd.

No idea what unnmet demand means for first few days of trading thereafter. Maybe outweighed by those receiving shares in offer and taking a very quick profit ?

My question please: if I am an Australian market maker (but not restricted to MMs) how easy would it be, if at all, to go long GGP today off market in Aus at a low price and short today on AIM ? Then close using shares bought, in days or weeks.

Sorry if this appears to be muddled thinking.

Am I missing something here ? Load factor up 8.8% to 81% (in worst quarter of the year), a healthy increase in revenue per seat, well controlled operating costs...and share price barely moves on the news. I know I'm being lazy not doing my own research, but with a DCF share price of 105p (thanks Dinoken) the current 41/42p looks astonishingly cheap, yes ?
