Hi mate, sorry I have had to sign various NDAs and I guess I cant write on a public BB how BTs network architecture works, what is in the public domain is that Mr Joe Publics little router is connected to your roadside DSLAM by either copper or fibre, it is then aggregated and sent down a SM fibre and ends up being shoved into an IOM port on a 7750 (Located at various exchanges) its there that the IP address is sorted out and sent on its way.... after that, sorry cant tell you ..... secret 8-)) so as you can see its a very simple system ...... Router-DSLAM-7750, as I say, all that is in the public domain.

Nice idea "Unpowered splitters) but how will you achieve transmission from the customer to the 7750/7950, yes it could be done in an urban environment, but take that principal out of the city and you have to have some pretty powerful SFPs and associated power to transmit what could up to 50km, long haul SFPs need a roadside cab

ALBA have a world class deposit there with the Graphite quantity and quality, on the low side $500 million (If they can dig it all out and sell it) its certainly a game changer for ALBA and would put it on the world stage, with all its other projects on the go, there is plenty to gain from this very low price, personally, I think people are getting a bit hung up on Clogau, what we might get from opening up to full scale mining is very small fry compared to the Graphite asset, I wish people would do their homework, extrapolate the figures, extraction cost, average grams per ton etc and not rely on the rarity of Welsh gold as Ive said before AYM are planning on dumping 160Kg a year onto the market from their Parys mountain mine, ALBA is sooooooooo much more than just a small gold mine prospector
