You are arguing semantics.

An anchor is typically described as a metal object dropped from a boat into the water to prevent the boat moving away.

A pile is installed in the seabed as a permanent fixture. It is not retrievable in the same way an anchor can be hauled up.

The AM has anchor lines and chains which are connected to the piles. The connection points can quite properly be described as anchorage points but that does not define the things they are connected to as an anchors.
