If you are alluding to the interim CEO just bear in mind that she was a BG employee which Company was taken over by Shell and she left shortly thereafter. I should not need to remind you that RT was an employee of Enterprise which was taken over by Shell and he fairly soon parted company.

The Company advised of the possibility of drilling L8 in the the RNS 27.04.20:
"the Company was evaluating the potential to drill and tie back an additional production well (the "L8 well") to not only increase production but also provide data to help de-risk the Company's volumetric model."
So far as I am aware the Company has not published any further information as to where they intend to drill L8.
If I am wrong could you please direct me to the source of your information that it will be 5 Kilometers from 6&7.

It should be quite obvious that some issue arose to warrant an inspection and that the issue must have been serious enough they could not leave it unattended till the scheduled maintenance in September. I very much hope they are doing the planned maintenance as well and it's unfortunate they did not comment on this in the RNS.

That is an interesting question and one I am hoping HUR will report when production resumes. As far as I am aware this will be the first occasion since startup that both wells have been shut down. You would assume that it would allow water to drain down but how much is pure guesswork.
I would also like to know if they have used this unplanned shut down to carry out the maintenance scheduled for September.

There is no comparison with Sirius. They needed to raise cash and they couldn't. HUR do not need funding . They have an income stream. The risk is down to how you judge that income stream will continue.

You cannot assume that the sale trigger by the stoploss went through at the trigger price. The sp opened at 4.5p so the sale price could have been sub 4.5p

I had considered covenants might prevent them which is why I put it out as a question. Clearly they are not going to be buying all or anywhere near that and they would have to stage their buying but if they could pick up say 10%-20% they save on both repayment and the interest. HUR have cash in the bank at the moment which is not being used . 10% would cost around $16m saving $6m on overall repayment and $3.45m interest There is the willingness of the holders to sell and any aggressive buying is likely to push the price up, but if the bond price starts to rise would that not give the sp a nudge?

Given that the debt is tradeable and is currently priced at a significant discount why would it not be possible for HUR to buy in the market. I have posed this question before but no body seem interested.

One very noticeable difference is the style of the RNS's since RT's dethroning. Previously all were concluded with "Dr Robert Trice, Chief Executive of Hurricane, commented:......" whereas in those since the interim CEO has made no comment. I'm looking forward to the Interims which will have to include some personal statement by her and which might give us some clues as to her perception of the Company and what it expects to deliver for shareholders.

Quite correct, the shorts on HUR are absolutely nothing to get your knickers in twist about.
However some people see shorters as the villains of the corporate world and short bashing is always good if you are after brownie points. It does actually carry more risk than taking a long position.
