What was interesting yesterday was actually almost all the large trades where buys…check if you don’t believe me -only the bots where buying and selling in small volumes as they do daily. Whilst there are more than two parties considering bids and not walking away that’s all you need to know. Everybody will still need hospitals- maybe more so - owning hard assets is sensible in this climate imho and may create even more interest! GLA

You need to wake up - I’m not digging - you are imaging facts not stated - I have not once said rival bidders talk to each other - hello -wake up! They go through their adviser of course - I can take many examples of companies which have received RNS’s over the last few months - we rejected x bid and then x bid and now recommending this offer to the shareholders- the first time we got to hear of multiple rejected bids was on the first RNS ! So how is this not batted back and forth ? Of course it is slightly different when a company has put itself up for sale- hence the 4 months or so which have already passed due to multiple discussions- and ps the company has let us know that there were more than 2 bidders! Fact not fiction….yawn -

They do not bat bid prices back and forth amongst one another - sorry but thats just not how it works. Once a formal bid is tabled, any counter bids will be considered by the Board and they will recommend their favoured bid and bidder to the shareholders.

You may not like my style but it’s correct - what other is a counter bid? How could this be generated without informing the other party. The company is paying good money to advisers who will be in discussions with all parties. Hence why I believe other parties may have already walked away? Too rich a price to start negotiations…ps not talking formal offers but the background discussions which is where all the heavy lifting is done. Imho.

I think the opposite - the reason it’s taken time is there are more than one party - so the ball is being batted between them - do you really want to lose it for another 5%? Thought not - back it goes…….and if one of the listed parties withdraw we will have an RNS and possibly the current offer price- which of course could land any day…..GLA

i think cr says it best -a bowl like that suggests something more perhaps. i’d keep a close watch for news. lots of shares being monkeyed about with by market makers at the moment to balance their books up ahead of the busy march/april results period, so be careful not to get a scared out of something you like by this sort of behaviour imo.

Good news for Spire IMHO- there appears a rotation back into asset backed companies in the US- something AI can’t disassemble. Always good to own physical assets. 🤞GLA

PE is low single digits - if you want to see a high PE look at ELF towards 50 ! They are buying a lot of companies with that paper!
