Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
For consequence, read result. That also works.
Chris; at a guess 20X today. But if I knew the answer I might even sell the house.
Bricks, if there is another RNS my guess would be we're in talks/negotiations. Big if.
Another 1 code today, apparently.
Why are we buying and holding? This share must be a day traders delight. Sigh.
Dave, my feelings exactly.
Shandy: is the NPV US or Aus dollars? I'm not sure.
EUZ expects to get the Mets before year end, so I don't think we will see it until Jan now. The share will continue floating around current levels till then, so plenty of time. DYOR blah blah
Key points : visible sulphide mineralisation within 300m. Mets by end Dec (almost surely before the 20th?). TOD 25 hole uses same drill pad but only finishes in Jan.
The NPV must be more than 110 m dollars (US or Aus?)
Oiltap: Surely any NDA can't contradict any existing contracts ie exchange rules and requirements? Anyway, first prize would be a bidding war. I don't trust these guys in back room deals.
Oiltap: A simple statement that we are in talks would not breach any NDAs. A single inquiry is sufficient for such a statement. Negotiations are possibly another issue. I don't know what the AIM rules are but on the main board of the JSE it's a requirement if serious talks are underway. Investors should be kept in the loop.
Of course it's for sale, hopefully at a good price and terms. If the data room is open I would expect the company to issue a statement, either to the effect that we are in discussions or, stronger, we are in negotiations. That will wake up the market. Then announce the Mets and after that the latest drilling results. Raising the share price and Mcap strengthens their hand in negotiations and benefits everybody. Basic communications.
Yup, Sol. You won't get anything you don't know already from the AGM. Price sensitive, blah blah. It might be worthwhile from the body language, though.
I doubt there's anything speculative about the latest drilling programme. It will be to prove up (inferred to indicated) the main ore body outlined in last year's mining plan. Then with the mets you've got something solid to show to investors.
BB & SN: Please read what I said and not knee-jerk focus on two words. I researched this company a long time ago and bought in at the time, despite my reservations over the directors lack of skin in the game. Anybody who buys on a tip from whatever source is a fool. I believe what's really holding this mcap back is a lack of trust in their interest in shareholders other than as a source of capital. That's my opinion and other people have echoed the same sentiment. End of story.
I believe in the asset, not the management, and I doubt that the mets when they arrive (hopefully next week) will result in more than a blip. I may be wrong, but history suggests otherwise.
What's holding the shares price back? Apart from the MMs I reckon it's the reputation of DB and LR for not protecting or looking after shareholders interests. That's the word from a number of respected twiterati. Come guys, it's been a long and rocky ride. Time for the magic.
Binky: yes. I've looked a little closer. Shares were paid in lieu of directors fees and the options granted at 0.0575p. I have no problem with that. It doesn't look like they've been paid in shares in the latest financial year, hence the pay hikes. Still, LR hasn't put his hand in his pocket yet.
I just hope they don't give the asset away and everyone gets a great payday.
Shed: Enlighten me on these mistakes. It was a question and an answer that I quoted. Yes, things changed since then and MC and DB put in cash at the bargain price placement. LR said he couldn't afford it. Can anyone remember what their original share options were priced at? They're way north of now.
Shed: Have a look at the share price from November last year through to June.
When asked earlier last year why the directors didn't have skin in the game, LR replied "we're on low salaries". MC looked a bit uncomfortable then. I'd like to know the justification for these salary hikes because it's not reflected in the performance.
