HI gspanner,
I agree with most of your previous summation, except "The contracts are written so that part of the finished project can be owned by Eqtec in lieu of payment"
Firstly, our portfolio of active projects, especially the recent ones is pretty small. The one that they keep referring to for bench marks (Movialsa) is almost a decade old and was designed by Eqtec Iberia. So, too early for me to be make that 'quoted' comment. North Fork is an exception and not the rule, but borders on a masterstroke as the equipment from Newry (otherwise sitting rusting in a shed) was going no where. A 20% ownership of a plant, which after 1st 24 months, will be a cash cow.
The 2nd mooted project with Phoenix, they have already stated that funding is in place, so I guess no part ownership there. Billingham (imo) will belong to Suez - the propose plant will be 3rd one on the same Suez site.
IMO, vast majority of our income will come from Project Management, design, procurement, commission and after sales maintenance. The margins for each segment will be different, but averaging between 20-30%, as also stated by Align.
A good find and an interesting article. Though imo, with limited research by the author. Could've expanded to highlight the increased introduction of Biomass plants in affected areas (California). Appears to be suggesting some sort of a novel research!
HI King5hott, I guess under the circumstances, not many companies will be held accountable for not meeting the projected time scales.
But some comforting words in general:
- we expect no reduction in our design and engineering capability, and the delivery of these services
- working to protect its cash resources
- seeking to maintain momentum following the increase in commercial enquires and the addition of strategic partnerships
I guess it's the best we can expect at this stage. Having an international customer base, makes it even harder to predict near term scenarios.
cmin, seeing a bunch 5 mill buys gone through at same price essentially what I was hinting at this morning. Despite a 5 mill sell early doors, you guys couldn't buy much without NT. Seems orders were being filled. Good to know there is solid interest at these levels. GL.
Incidentally, The original Billingham RNS had the following para:
"EQTEC will act as the lead developer and technology provider to the Project, as well as providing its engineering, design and technology expertise. EQTEC will work alongside COBRA to produce the full EPC and O&M offering for the Project as well as seeking to secure the necessary funding for the construction and development of the Project, through the introduction of third-party equity and debt investors ("Financial Close").!
Of course, I agree King5hott. But IMO, the project of that size will attract (qualify for) gov't (local authority) support and in deed private financing through low interest is a plus. Seeing Billingham is Suez owned(?) and they already have two plants on site, that can only add clout. I guess the MOU trio will present their quotation to SUEZ.
King5hott,
As the saying goes, 'every little helps!'.
But equally, we're only too aware of the red tape faced by these projects. You know how things drag out in the field. 7+ years for North Fork, Already over 6 months with Billingham, USK was strung along for several years and despite the restrictions on export of waste, very little is being done by the gov't to manage waste in the UK.
I guess the simple answer if the funding avenues being explored by the MOU parties. With low interest rates, may be we will attract 'investors' (eg., tax breaks, better returns through partnerships). IMO.
Morning King5hott,
As they say, each day without news is a day closer to one!.
Palumbo has said a LOT (am being careful not to use the term 'promised') and he's attracting interest in the stock. He's given enough hints to suggest that the coming few weeks could be news rich. We'll soon find out whether it's a leaf out of Ian Price's book or time to deliver. Hope for the latter, with it the peeps will hold long term. Our research certainly indicates plenty brewing in the background. Turned the corner?...we'll see, as the wounds will take a long time to heal!.
IMO. DYOR. GL All.
