I was looking to invest in GKP ,purely for the dividend .Then the Helicopter incident and Erdogans government came out warning Talabani of serious consequences and i puloed my finger out.

I am following the Turkish side of it closely and i advise that others do too .

I dont think GKP as a company will be ordered to pack their bags ,Iraqi governenment are clearly after the funds not the company and Turks are after punishing Talabani not the stop of oil flowing.

It will go sub £1 but 50p depends on how long Talabani holds out .

This is not a temporary situation its an embargo .The Iraqi amd Turkish governments are working together to end the 2 leader in rule KRG.

Talabani clan who have been caught with the PKK is going to be sidelined in favour of Barzani clan who have better relations with Turks.

Talabani has to withdraw its forces from areas ,this will take time but not very long, they dont have funds that can enable them to hold a militia .

Its not going to end soon but maybe 6 months and share price below 50p .

It might take longer for news this time tests needs to be done for a definitive answer after drilling.

KRG have been caught in bed with the PKK and the TURKS will punish SULEYMANIYE .

According to Turkiye ,they have been using oil funds that has been exported via pipepline to Turkey has been funding PKK ,thats the view and reports sudgest Turkey will end the money being transferred to KRG directly but not necessarily the oil .

I cant see GKP ever getting historical money owed now.
If Iraq and Turkey also make an agreement it wont be hapoy days for the Kurdish or even GKP.

This will be very interesting to follow.
The region has changed in Turkey's favour last few years and they are keen to bring Iraq govt especially KURDS under their authority.
Dont forget there are 2 authorities in north, Talabani clan and Barzani clan .Talabani clan who have seen chunk of the oil revenue from North have been anti Turkey while Barzani has been closer .
