When I read articles on energy transition to renewables needs to be happening quicker I do wonder if it’s really to save the planet or before everyone catches on it’s been a big con?…….just last night a commentator was raging that the solar needs to be cheaper and then everyone will transition to these wonderful planet saving systems!!…..so cheap panels as I’ve said before nearly 80% of them are manufactured in the coal provinces of China,they are probably as cheap as they are ever going to get…..do these commentators think a time will come when electricity generation by panels will produce panels??……never,it will be as cost efficient as hydrogen production…….the idea gives the green cuckoos sweet dreams but it’s impractical

Bangla has roughly around 1-2 weeks capacity at any one time of LNG…..even a bit of bad weather devastates the supply,imagine disrupting the supply lines through war then the ships lucky enough to get through with very very costly cargoes are struggling to unload…….there has to be another way 😂…..

LNG accounts for about a fourth of gas consumed in the country. With the fall in the LNG supply, the overall gas supply dropped to close to 2,000 mmcfd, turning the country’s energy crisis from bad to worse.

Bangladesh’s gas demand is about 4,000 mmcfd. But during normal times the gas supply hovers around 2,600 mmcfd. On June 16, the supply was over 2,800 mmcfd with over 900 mmcfd of LNG supply

Alam blows holes in the cuckoo govt energy plans…….i partly agree with him about building another coal fired power plant and it placing more burden on the economy because it will require imported fuel!!…..what they should have done is launch the new coal plant in conjunction with domestic resources extraction?……or maybe that is coming?…..mmm,anyway Mr Alam is an educated man when it comes to Bangladesh energy he was very pro domestic resources at theMarch meeting

Thanks for info….I do think the world of investing has changed,high speed algos etc….it seems like missing the boat doesn’t happen much now as the market has more tools at its disposal to enter and leave stock when it wants without causing a ripple……anyway I’m old fashioned and from my cold dead hands will they pry this stock!

Just out of curiosity I’m lead to believe 20yr ago this would shoot up exponentially on something very trivial in the scheme of phulbari?…..why did it take off then yet now it’s closest ever of the resources being mined and the resources now are a lot more valuable and domestic energy is becoming the new normal with so much instability around the world?……..

The Election Commission (EC) has ramped up its preparations for the upcoming national election, following a recent high-level meeting in London with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

The EC has instructed its officials to promptly complete all necessary tasks so the commission remains ready to deliver the election whenever it is held.

Preparations are now underway in full swing, covering updates to the electoral roll, delimitation of constituencies, renovation and repair of potential polling stations, registration of new political parties and revisions to various electoral laws and policies.
