Army Signals Intent to Act

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) recently issued a stern warning, stating that “any activity that disturbs public order, goes against national interest, or damages the image of the armed forces will not be tolerated.”

In response to rising law and order concerns, the military has now decided to take control of the national situation, a move that could spell the end of Yunus’ unchecked authority.

Dhaka: A top official of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Monday mounted a fierce challenge to the interim government’s legitimacy, arguing that it lacks a democratic mandate to implement meaningful reforms and has pushed Bangladesh to the path of uncertainty.

“It is the primary responsibility of this government to take the necessary steps to take Bangladesh towards democratic transformation. Right now, the people are asking, where we are headed, where Bangladesh will go in the coming days, how long will this government stay, when will the election be held, and what will happen to Bangladesh afterwards. We are not seeing anything assuring in this regard,” said BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, also a former Minister of Commerce, while addressing a dialogue titled ‘Policy Reforms and the Upcoming National Budget’ organised by the Citizen’s Platform in Dhaka.

I know it seems very negative press but whoa hold on!!…...the country is sat on trillions of dollars of natural resources…..who says they are automatically going to China??…..we have a multi millionaire philanthropist crank handed the reigns of an economy looking for direction……..Yunus and his cronies will do well out of this deal…..IF he can hang on…….we will do well whichever way this goes,the country needs energy and it’s just under their feet……..coal policy being formed we already know that!

So the army really knew this movement is coming?……banning protesters in key areas etc…….what would happen if the army general said to Yunus get this time line for the election sorted and we will protect the key areas….if not the army could let the protesters through??……..Wakkar is going to be very difficult to remove imho…….

Was just thinking…the international community will agree to give Yunus an acceptable time based on him pumping the difficulties and complexity of the reforms……we all know he wants to get his influential people into the next government….as long as the bnp builds on its already massive support it really is just a case of when,it’s really not going to plan for Yunus,his students are inexperienced and potentially split 3x ways according to reports……..that’s not going to get sorted anytime soon…….even controlling the army is not going to stop Yunus credibility being smashed if the country starts turning into a P@kistan basket case…….
