I am at a loss still trying to find a country over the last 20yrs that has transitioned from developing to developed on the back of green/renewable..???…….every country that has grabbed the global appetite for wind and solar has gone backwards?…..it’s a money pit!!……cheaper energy they cry but we are heading into an abyss of the unknown,potentially unreliable,vastly expensive unsecured power with an unknown clean up cost some years down the line…….how the fook is bangla,Sri Lanka and other poorer Asian nations going to embrace this green crap while keeping afloat?….simply they cannot without sacrificing their vast fossil fuel natural resources…….China will give them as much green crap as they want but in exchange they will be stripped of their sovereign natural resources…..somehow that seems counterproductive 😂……it is,that’s why we are in that sweet spot…..

I haven’t read this book obviously but I can assure the Bangladeshi cohort the Chinese dream started with massive amounts of cheap electricity powered by coal!….and still to this day they reap the rewards of utilising their natural resources!!….I wonder when the Chinese get round to that…..

The bnp is too influential to succumb to such a stunt,its stage work by Yunus and his student activists……they are poorly organised as a political outfit and would struggle even if they were handed power on a plate…..I think the directive is to get as many “youth” as possible into every corner of Bangladesh politics…..I’m not sure what this getting youth into government is all about,yea they can whip up demos but I’ve seen bugger all regarding their own policies!!…….

It’s difficult not to get wound up when there is so much more they could do regarding resources and infrastructure but it all seems to be about blaming everyone else and borrowing as much as possible believing the rest of the world owes it to you🙄

The worst bit for me was the slithering Yunus press officer Alam likening Awami league to that German party of WW2…these comments come from the top,they could have likened them to the Bolsheviks but no the Russians are providing service to the country so we shall ignore their atrocities…….

Don’t be surprised if the mass demonstrations weren’t orchestrated by smiler and the students to enact this emergency law…….this dangerous old man and his jihadi backers now have the power to shut down any political organisation prior to investigation…….i cannot emphasise enough what a very dark day yesterday was for the country’s politics

The government should, under the circumstances, rather, expedite the process of trying Awami League leaders individually and thoroughly investigate the role of the Awami League as a political party in the July 2024 mass killing and proceed with the process of trying the organisation. In the process, the interim government must not have a double standard by trying the Awami League for the mass killing and sparing Jamaat for actively taking part in a genocide.

I am disappointed that the much lauded democratic transition of the country has descended into a farce via smiler and his tree hugging clowns….but nothing has changed bnp will have a landslide victory at the polls and will have to temporarily accommodate these activists students…

Al would never win under a fair free (never happened in 14yrs) election observes by US and UN…..they would be wiped out….democracy would work as it should…..sadly this cuckoo govt want the students to take control,tonight they have been handed a bigger slice of a new parliament…..Yunus has made it look like they are influential and powerful tonight persuading a bunch of cuckoos to do what they always wanted…..students shoe horned in every sector of a new govt!……….a real buggy malone moment if that happens……..

Gp I think if we look at the big picture there have been good times and very bad times with awami……they kept the extremism under control and protected minorities but we’re far from perfect……I think they should have been allowed to be annihilated at the polls that would have put this to bed forever……..hasina is never going to be brought to trial while these clowns cling to power they are a joke and India wouldn’t embarrass itself by bending over for Yunus……he’s got to go and take his bus full of clowns with him……..democracy???…….I think tonight that has just been thrown to the student wolves…..
