ECK Partners, vehicle for entrepreneur and football club boss Ilyas Khan, has bought three per cent of AIM shell Brady Exploration (BRDY). The purchase brings welcome support to the company, headed by ex-Shore Capital luminary Alex Borrelli.
Khan, chairman of Accrington Stanley football club and linked to well-connected Russian figure Arbodiy Abramovich, has interests in a range of companies, including another AIM counter, Touchstone Gold. Brady shares, which have traded between 5p and 1.7p over the past year, now change hands at 2.7p, up 0.88p today, valuing the company at £1.6 million.
The ECK interest adds some speculative spice.
