Power Metal Acquires by Staking Four 100% Owned Uranium Properties in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin in Canada



Power Metal Resources PLC (LON:POW) the London listed exploration company seeking large-scale metal discoveries across its global project portfolio announces the acquisition by claim staking of four 100% owned uranium exploration properties (the "Properties") comprising 7 licences surrounding the Athabasca Basin, located in northern Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.

The claim staking was completed through Power Metal's wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary, Power Metal Resources Canada Inc ("Power Canada").

The Properties

The four 100% owned Properties cover a combined 10,869-hectares (109km2) giving Power Canada a strong foothold in the prolific Athabasca Basin (for property details see table 1 below).

The properties include the Clearwater Uranium Property ("Clearwater"); Tait Hill Uranium Property ("Tait Hill"); Thibaut Lake Uranium Property ("Thibaut Lake"); and the Soaring Bay Uranium Property ("Soaring Bay").

The Location

All four Properties are surrounding the prolific Athabasca Basin, in northern Saskatchewan, Canada which is home to some of the world's largest and highest grade uranium mines including Cameco Corporation's Cigar Lake and McArthur River Uranium Mines.

Saskatchewan was recently ranked the 3rd best mining jurisdiction in the world in Fraser Institute's 2020 rankings.

The Staking Process

The Properties were staked after detailed analysis of several provincial geological databases including airborne magnetics, government bedrock mapping, as well as publically available assessment report files and the mineral deposits index (a database of 6143 unique localities throughout the province with known mineral occurrences, separated by commodity).

The claims have been registered with the Mineral Administration Registry Saskatchewan and the total cost of claim staking was C$6,521. The claims are valid for 2 years and there is no minimum spend commitment required.

As the Properties were acquired through staking, Power Canada will have a 100% interest with no outstanding royalties or encumbrances.

I personally believe the latest RNS update was a massive thumbs up for POW going forwards. It is a pity that the wider market have not had us firmly on their radars. I am convinced that any other miner's shares would have more than doubled with a similar RNS.

Many LTH investors often make the mistake of assuming that a 'new' investor to the stock is 'green' or just learning about investing. He may be new here but a 40 year investor elsewhere?
A new boy on the block may be new to this stock but be a veteran investor of many years and have learnt to steer clear when trolls control the chat boards.

It is wrong to assume that trolls attacking a stock don't have any effect on the share price. Experienced investors of long standing usually give a wide berth to any stock that have resident trolls, relentlessly attacking the company. It is those potential 'new' investors that simply won't invest when the company is being relentlessly and blatantly attacked by these incorrigible people. They are capable of totally bringing a company to their knees.
R/souls like TW will get his teeth into perfectly good stocks and won't give up until he 'wins' his short. He targets companies that suddenly rise on hype or good news and publishes his findings in his magazine and the sp usually tanks big time!
Having said that let's hope he doesn't get busy on POW. With his own magazine he easily gets his readers to stay clear. He had relentlessly attacked some companies that were forced to issue disclaimers as per his scathing and scurrilous attacks. If he does attack POW God help us all.
But never assume that deramping trolls don't have any effect. It is wrong to assume so, it is how they make their money at YOUR expense.

I did profit from Ggp by a lot and it enabled me to top up a few other stocks including 10 gtand here last Friday. It's a great ferling when you knoe the fear factor is reduced when you invest using profits. I don't a give a Donald if UFO goes T!Ts up. I won't like it but hey, it's only profits. It's free money. Taking ptofitd on Ggp was as good as when GKP multibagged back in Aug 2009. It takes years off and is a great feeling of success that can almost compensate for the grief we get at home when our loved ones are constantly saying ...
