Jhyland - if sellonnews will permit me I think I can answer your question. In essence there is no �problem� with going over 3%. The issue is that once you cross that threshold you have to publicly declare your holding to the market. This involves some paperwork, bureaucracy if you like, and the production of an RNS which is a regulatory news announcement. In this case it would be a holdings RNS to declare a holding over 3%. I�ve only gone over 3% on a stock once before myself but it was a bit of a pain. The other thing is that investors sometimes wish to remain �invisible�. HTH and ATB with your investment

Just looking in. Price is settling around where I thought it might but could edge up to 17/18p short term. Agree with Weiller it�s a decent price to be topping up now but I won�t be back in until later this year. No short term catalysts unless they can pull a very large rabbit out the hat with the painfully tortuous will it ever happen idh deal. I think they also have a bit of work to do to rebuild market confidence. Those results certainly surprised me on the downside and there was just too much negativity in the Statement. Long term (and I mean 1 year+) certainly a winner.

Evident why this was released today. I can’t see anything in this announcement to make me want to invest here. Litigation issues will clearly continue to overshadow any progress elsewhere and no way are they close to break even It’s a shame because there was so much potential, seemingly, here.

No we don't. That RNS is for Peat Resources (PET:TSX) Theres clearly an issue with the coding on the LSE platform. They seem to pick up all annoucements for companies with the same ticker code regardless of the exchange they trade on! I'll message them. Its about time they sorted it out!

Not to mention that this is purely for organic growth and takes no account of other potentially valuable initiatives such as TCAT and/or M&M. Furthermore I believe these forecasts will be upgraded in due course increasing the attractiveness of the shares

I would be expecting a holdings RNS to be issued after that 3m trade as its way over 3% of the company. Ex NED Roman Poplawski exiting perhaps?

HI natty,basically it means petrel had an agreement with a company to issue some shares to them. The other company were not supposed to sell the shares unless certain conditions were met. Nonetheless That company sold some of those shares and broke the agreement. They’ve now agreed to give Petrel £100k in respect of the broken agreement and are still locked into the remaining shares. HTH

unv - I doubt it mate. He’s already bought someth8ng like 12% of the company. Why buy anymore? Plus he’s taken a big paper hit on PIM as well. This isn’t working out very well for us is it? I suppose we can hope a bigger player will snap it up at these cheaper levels as they do have some valuable products.

Omerta, I suspect, I fear, you may be right. I am struck by the difference in tone and outlook between today’s statement and the trading update issued just seven weeks ago. And to that extent I feel let down by the management here. How can things have changed so much so quickly? I imagine Mr Sneller,who has invested millions here,will not be happy either. The change at the top is clearly necessary. Whether King can produce the goods remains to be seen as he was COO and thus has already been at the hub of the business. For the first time since I invested here I am sitting on a loss and it seems to me that they are very distant both geographically and literally from their shareholders. Some urgency and decisiveness is required particularly where the IDH tie up is concerned. Frankly it’s gone on for an absurd amount of time. Shareholders have been very patient here because they know, like I do, that this company has great potential with a great range of products but they simply must start delivering value!

I would agree. A very disappointing statement. Explains why we had the persistent seller who clearly had an inkling. It was always going to be a 1 year hold minimum from here anyway because of the CD4 situation but this merely confirms it!
