Dumb punter- since you explained in some detail how hedge funds invest specifically on a very fixed strategy Ie,long, short etc which they cannot alter you should be able to tell us exactly what Venrock strategy is. FWIW I think they are here for the buy out (takeover)

Dumbpunter - I do not think Venrock do ‘punts’. They are not gamblers and they cannot throw clients money around like confetti.

As for ‘interfering in something so small’. Think about that comment. This is a development that could well be worth billions. Billions is not small.

Being US investors could they be acting on behalf of a potential buyer of the company? Not saying this is likely but ispossible.

Certainly they are not passive investors from what I can see. They like to partner closely with their investee companies and advise/guide where necessary.

I can see nothing but positives in this stake.

MM's have been manipulating the SP for days, weeks now. It's time they just let the price go, let it find its natural level of supply and demand. It's obvious the price has been held down to allow Venrock to load up but they are just going to have to pay the proper price.

Yes clearly the MMs intention was to walk this down at the open. Didn't quite work out did it! Venrock adding again threw a spanner in the works!

I wouldn’t build your hopes up that his therapeutic to be announced is SNG001. It will be a US company. In any case do we want our success to be tied to that twat?

Although as mentioned volume is seemingly light there are a LOT of hefty trades going through that we are not seeing. Expect lots of delayed 5k and 10k buys later. The volume won't seem so light then.

MM's continue a game of psychology because despite a 5-6% SP rise all we see is the 'Sea of Red'. All designed to prompt you to think the price is going to go down and you should part with your shares. I have to say IMVHO anyone selling now is completely bonkers.

Stop trying to suppress the SP. we can all see it wants to go up. Let it find it’s level. These constant games to hold it are just to meet the demands of a buyer. They can pay a proper price!

IMHO Venrock are still adding and we will get another TR1 soon to confirm. Impossible to overstate how significant this is. I think we are in good company alongside these guys.

SNG will not announce. or indeed finalise, any Pharma deal until the COPD readout is out there as this can only add further value (assuming its good as we expect). Again IMHO.

Normal logic on AIM would dictate - yes - they would capitalise on the current rise in SP. I think it all hinges on what kind of deal they strike with a Larger Pharma. RM has been very clear on their strategy all along. They are looking for a partner as early stage as possible who has the financial and logistical clout to bring SNG001 to market - that SNG do not have. That to me suggests NO placing. All imho.

Current spread would indicate a lack of liquidity in the market. It seems MM’s need stock but they have a bit of a quandary. If they drop the price they will be bringing lots of willing buyers in. If they raise the price that will only encourage the bulls who are on the sidelines. I think that’s why we are seeing the price remain relatively stable.

Who on earth is buying the 4.75m shares he is dumping on the market every single day? Surely they are not all being absorbed by retail punters. But no other TR1’s??

hold4results - of course the market is wrong - frequently. That’s how people make money. When the market gets the value wrong - for whatever reason.
