That said i'm only willing to buy TW while my average remains below 160. On my current average that means i'm willing to pay up to 1.72 with this months pension contribution, although obviously i'd prefer it to be lower. No emotion involved in that

I find it very difficult to remain invested in companies that i've worked for. For me there is far too big of an emotional attachment affecting what should be logical decisions.

Troublesome - Agree with that. Hope and Fear are the quickest way to a smaller portfolio.

Ironically they tend to take over when things are going badly and people try to trade to make back a loss. Very easy for a small loss to become a big loss when fear and hope gets involved in a short term trade

We discussed my approach to investing here last month, and I'm still below my max buying average of 160p. I'm buying again at the end of the month and will still be below that average.

I'm here for divis. Its simple maths. The more shares i can buy with my pension contribution, the more divi i'll get. Which will be reinvested here anyway.

And troublesome - my post was a reduction of the warren buffet quote of being greedy when people are fearful, and fearful when people are being greedy. It seemed apt when TomE broke out his 'woe is me' post about it dropping back to 160p

That'd be a shame to be able to get more shares at a lower price.

Twitter is useful for additional information, however other peoples research should always be treated with a pinch of salt.

It can inform your own research, but relying solely on other peoples work puts you at the mercy of their own reading of the data / the book they're talking
