All depends on your timeline. If you get stoplossed out at 13p having bought at 18p and the first round of bond purchases puts us at 25p its not helped you out

Myo - I'd also question the definition of successful investor.

Modsto's definition almost certainly is the same as 'successful trader'.

From my point of view i've been a successful investor if my pension is throwing out big money when i retire. I'd consider having a share which pays out a divi of between 20% and 40% of my average price successful investing. We'll find out if i've been successful in 2025..

John - The thing to remember at times like this, is not to get too greedy. If SXX is too high a proportion of your portfolio at this price, then think how big a proportion it'll be when we get back to 20p

renewable - The sooner the weaker PI's are shaken out the better. As the proportion held by IIs increases, so the SP should become less volatile

John - This is why i continue to hold and leave well alone. The chances of me timing any trades well is very slim, and theres always the chance that the rise you're on is the one that'll hold.

I chose not to for one very good reason. I'll ****** it up trying to trade and end up with less shares. If i'm happy with the number of shares i have, i see no reason to try to trade for what would only be a small profit, especially given the number of shares i'd be willing to trade.

20c is currently approx 16p.

They'd have divi cover of x8 at 2p.

I'd expect it to be in the 5-10p range, possible 2p quarterly div?

Fred - Sometimes you just have to say 'You know what, actually i think i might have enough'. Since the Open Offer and my additional buying I have 60% more shares than i had previously, and am at my stretch target number of shares. Thats enough for me now. At the current price its a sensible proportion of my portfolio, but even at 25p it becomes a large proportion. To me it doesn't matter how good a price it is now, I need to add balance around my SXX holding so when the price goes up, it doesn't take over the portfolio.

That said, easier said than done
