RE: Reasons to Sell3 Jun 2020 09:50
It’s hard to swim against the tide when the market is moving the other way but this is when your conviction will be most tested. I place shares into 2 types, conviction hold, like here, where I will hold for a specific event ,news, and reassess then or shares I’ve traded the uptrend and I intend to sell when sentiment turns. I have an average buy in here of 62p and so I had a large position at £2.10 . I will not be shaken out here but I always reassess when there is concrete news. The other underlying factor may be a sentiment that Covid will die off and this product will be unnecessary. I don’t think that is likely in the short term so I’m not being swayed by that . Sometimes sentiment seems so strong you wonder will it ever change, then suddenly it does-often for no apparent reason!- and suddenly the tide is strongly with you. You have to learn when to sit on your hand. GLA
