Yes the Italian - left side of cup start of Jan , right side of cup April - flat handle sideways for a month or two - then slide down on same handle over last 2 mths. Might not even be a cup and handle pattern - didn’t know if the slide over the last two months broke the pattern and negated it being a cup and handle ?

Thanks FilthyRich - did think the handle wasn’t quite an ideal handle in chartist terms. Still you learn something every day.

Do we have a cup and handle forming or not ? I’ve looked at 3 and 6 mth charts and it could be a cup and handle - but does it still qualify as one if the handle is tailing downwards or should it be more flat in shape ? I’m a real novice on chart patterns (and appreciate it’s not everyone’s cup of tea) but would like thoughts (sensible ones please) - not the vodoo chicken bones comments which may spring to mind by some

Pad - unless they get a PEA out tomorrow then H1 will have passed - not the only thing they have wrong in that report - from memory the have a 75c target - we will get higher than that (in time) :-)

Yep agree market not being too kind to Solg right now (typical across many areas in the market) - I don’t think we are going to see a slow rise back up into the 30’s and beyond more of a whoosh upwards upon a sniff of corporate action (assisted by MRE and PEA) To be honest that suits me - not nice sitting in the red but temptation to sell too early is removed with the whoosh effect (whoosh being the only word my ltd vocabulary could come up with) Also think that late Summer is a good call for significant movement - will be wanted by Solg and II’s and PI’s - as don’t want the wolf that is dilution getting too close to our door

Could be in the realms of Maiden PEA followed by Qtrly PEA updates - oh well I’m satisfied enough to sit it out

Looking Good mid term and long term - I’d happily settle for a grind back up to 25p(ish) for now. More I think about it the release of the updated MRE in tandem with the PEA could be a very good idea - ‘depending’ on when the PEA is ready - if (fingers crossed) PEA is ready in August then releasing them together would be fine by me - but if PEA was further out - ie last qtr of this yr then I think they should release the updated MRE sooner. Anyone know how long a PEA takes ? (ball park - I’m quite sure they can all vary depending on many elements) Once MRE and PEA is in place and assuming they are both solid - would that be the optimum time for a Major to make a move ? Or does the PFS (bankable study ) muted for end of 2019 become the next hurdle prior to a take over of this size - ie would PEA be enough for someone to stump up a couple of billion pounds Another good RNS today - red finish ? Or could we break the cycle !

I think this could be a precursor to additional news - I’m not sure they would have expected a 75% rise today - it’s good news of course but without knowing grades depths (of any larger volumes) and volumes of the surface find (yet) I believe they may have thought we would get a more muted reception of maybe 30-40% rise and as such set this up as the pre-cursor news to get the interest back and the sp moving in the right direction - in readiness for ‘bigger’ news - so a great day but I think there could be more to come in short order

It was my understanding that the bill (paperwork whatever you call it ) was being presented by the mining minister to the govt a few weeks back (would need to do some digging to clarify that) but news on windfall should be quite close. Was also interesting that Ecuador is expecting $4b in investment into mining excluding Cascabel (can’t remember the timescale but it’s on the presentation) so all we need to find out is how much they are expecting with Cascabel - and voila we have the indication of what they think the value is

Thanks SH for the serious post (I actually enjoy your tongue in cheek vent some frustration with the air of caution posts too - ken Dodd analogy didn’t go past without a little chuckle from me) Trump is a deal maker he wants to be seen to be making progress - tough stance followed by conciliatory deals - little rocket man to the upmost respect - arresting immigrants at the border to signing a deal to allow them to stay with their infant children - and now the trade war ! I’m not a political debater but the trade war will pass - copper shortage is not going away - Solg has copper and we hope will find even more - the technological advances happening in many industries which are driving copper demand also drive improvement in the cost of copper extraction in the mining industry - when everything aligns at the same time we won’t be needing an Eliot Wave to propel us forward a bidding war could cause a Tsunami
