FWIW in my opinion 'IF' its bought out.... and by it's I'm only talking Cascabel not Solg - then there are a few majors out there who could indeed buy it and could indeed afford to pay £2b (and more if they wanted too) - however it would be more likely that a cash and share offer would be made.

I'm quite sure anyone putting their cock on the block to sign that cheque though would need a full BFS first

Furthermore I have a feeling this is already potentially too 'big' for any single major to purchase it - and indeed they may have already have missed the boat on that window of opportunity - maybe a consortium (if they were willing to play ball with each other (which they probably wont)) - Maybe cash offer with shares thrown in with a future interest left in the pot for shareholders.

When the rewards are in the multi billions and the resource is multi-generational - funds to purchase can be found

BHP / RIO / GINA's mob / Chinese conglomerate - to name a few who could if they so desired stump up £2b

You ok Byron - you seem a little tense mate in some recent posts. I'm with you and can understand the frustration of wanting things to liven up but it really all does take time.

Think you've been in longer than me mate - is it 5-6 yrs for you ? - maybe a little over 3 for me now - I lose track, so appreciate the desire for NM to pull his finger out and move things forward with a greater sense of urgency - but he wont he's as chilled about things as can possible be.....the air of assurance of what's coming abounds round that one.

I do agree with FR from the other day and do believe for the big pay day we still have a while to wait and could indeed be another couple of yrs for a 5 bagger from here (maybe more - unlikely to be less in my humble opinion) (not based on anything other than my own gut feel - £3b £4b sounds about right to me), if we do go to production then we are currently at the start of greatness but it wont happen overnight and wont happen without periods of market worry and negativity - but who says that we cant be the next major - who says we cant challenge the big boys - who says we don't have enough Copper and Gold - from first discovery alone ! - with 12 or so more awaiting permits to drill.

Maybe the big boys don't give a damn about us - unlikely with Newcrest and BHP already onboard - Maybe its a big game of poker with NM teasing out and unsettling the goliaths first - before biting their hand off with an incredible offer....

But if they don't fold and don't stump up then....

Financing will be straight forward enough when we demonstrate the commercials 'that's coming'. We can help pay of Equador's National Debt...that's coming. We will drill new area's...that's coming (Once permits are granted)….we will take out CGP or someone else will...that's coming.

We will probably have to raise again....actually not probably but definitely....that's coming

And you know what - a SP of £1 maybe £2 or maybe even more....that's coming

So we are gonna get mini rises and mini declines....we are going to get bigger rises and bigger declines and with those our emotions will peak and trough - as will the tone of our posts become elated and more pessimistic...

Byron - you have a good 200k+ of these tickets if I recall from memory - it would be great for you to get the full pay day....grant you a little more fishing time I believe.....so stick in there mate.

Work out what a 5 bag from here would mean to your holding - divide that number by 104 (2 yrs worth of weeks) - so thats the ££ or $$ per week that you / or I / or any willing to sit it out could 'potentially' achieve

Glad life is treating you well FR, Nam sounds great, as does travelling through SE Asia. Ive travelled a bit myself but mainly for typical holiday periods (2 to 3 weeks), would be great to do it all at a far more leisurely pace, a dream for the future.

I'm convinced our patience will be rewarded, that's not the alcohol talking, its born from living and breathing Solg news and reading between the lines for many years.

Our discovery is huge, its massive and yet we also have so much in addition to go after, the Equadorian Gvt know it, BHP know it, Newcrest know it and so do CGP.....Infact every man and his dog know it ! PEA will give affirmation of commerical viability - another tick in the box, nt sure if it will rise the SP or not....muy hunch would be it will a bit.

CGP is a pain - not a pain in the fact that it can derail the steamroller but a pain in the fact that it needs to be resloved prior to any corporates making a move - its messy and no one wants to buy into the mess (is my guess/observation) - so what comes first PEA or CGP, both firmly linked, PEA helps drive the finalisation of CGP - and when that is resolved we will sell ENSA (I obvioulsy dont know this as a fact its just my opinion) - Standstills buy us time, I think NM was expecting regional licenses to drill sooner, they havent come yet so he's maybe adjusting his order of news release.

We were spoilt in the past with regular news (often we went down following the early stage mammoth rally) - but that was at eploration stage when we were a £35m company - we are now £700m - its only the real big news that will move us now - but when that news hits we will indeed move quickly.

Ive mentally spent my future profits here already - Im blurred now in my thinking of if I want Solg to shoot to the stars for my own financial gratification or indeed just to help ease the nagging from my wife.....fool hardy....premature.....well maybe

But I'd like to think its confidence born from research and knowing my investmet as well as I possibly can....things can go wrong....timelines will change....and the company will need to adapt to challenges....end result will be the same though because a resource of this size and 'value' will always win in the end.....a SP far in excess of where we are now awaits us

Time still ticking away here, its of course frustrating waiting, the time is surely rapidly approaching where a 'short delay' is infact more of a medium term delay - but I guess we will all have our opinions on interpretation of time lines

Story is very much intact with Solg, we of course have the background dealings going on which we are not privy to but eventually its all going to come out in the wash.

I've been here (like many of you) far to long to 'pull out now' ! and nope that wasn't a shielded reference back to my 'spooning' title ! Will we end up being sold cheap at circa 80p - £1.00 or will we eventually pull of a much bigger deal for all of us investors - who knows but my money is still riding long and strong here.....maybe a little too long for my liking but that's life I guess

Exciting move following six mths of consolidation, lots of pent up pressure to be released, chart was like a coiled spring. So is it news tomorrow and a leaky ship or a technical move.....whichever it is (and not long till we find out) im grateful that we are back in play.

Interesting price action on CGP - up 7 or 8% then 7% down then finishes 15% up ! somebody dumped 4.5m shares in 10-15mins ! connected to warrants, connected to CGP/SOLG corporate shenanigans....Im not sure......but it certainly beats our tenth of a penny ticks up and down of last six mths

PEA is coming and its going to be a stonker imho fingers crossed its this Qtr but it wouldnt be the end of the world if it does slip into next, so much news to come on regionals / permits and even the 12 drills we still have spinning !

Mystique (Hi and hope your well)- there are many long term holders with significant share volumes (Not sure quite sure what constitutes your serious criteria..) which are still very much invested in Solg and holding very strong, I know of some whom are also adding.

Think some have just tired of the LSE boards and some of the nonsense that transpires here on an almost daily basis.

Hope everyone is well, all the good people who still fly the flag on LSE.....I for one as am confident as I have ever been that Solg is going to do very very well for all those invested. Don't post on LSE too much these days - but this has brought me back out.

This has been a terrible share for me personally and of course there will be many people here suffering right now - a given when the price has dived so quickly over such a short space of time.

The new BOD need to get control of things and quickly - they wanted to run the show, they've got the job and now need to steady the ship and fast.

I've averaged down today - and will again if we go lower still which if current momentum continues without BOD intervention is odds on in my opinion, but I do feel we are reaching the bottom - below placing price now. Its a brave point to buy here right now and nobody likes to chase losses and certainly shouldn't be advocated - my personal opinion is even if the BOD cant turn this around in quick order there should still be a recovery of sorts from this level to at least 8p over the mid-term - hence my buying today.

Think we could be in the summer months though before a return on my own money happens

My ave is 22p.........not fantastic....but feels comfortable

Don't disagree with you Earthling and indeed think you could well be right. For me though I'm building a position here and happy to be a buyer at this level, will add further if it drops - wish id picked up more when we went to 17p a few mths back - if we visit that level again - I'll add this time without hesitation.

My sentiments behind the exuberance stand however. Make you right mate its been a grind up to 38 - the longer and flatter that handle of that there cup - the more spring (pent up demand) in the coil (I hope !)

Your forecasts look good to me my friend - timescales and values are so hard to predict - just look at your list of participants from Oct last year - predicting price at the end of this month - its not easy.

£3.5b is no pipe dream and happy you concur - NM is out to set a record when he eventually lets go of the reigns here - or maybe aspirations of financing and digging the stuff up himself (with a little help from BHP and Newcrest no doubt) - who knows and we can only guess.

This single investment has been a huge learning curve for me though - long may it continue

This could be a £3.5b company - now clearly there are some obstacles and a bit more of a journey to be made to get to that level but in my humble opinion its entirely feasible and more importantly 'realistic' - early take out would have us at a lower level obviously - as everyone wants their pound of flesh !

If it took till end of 2020 to get there - then its a 5 bagger in 22 Mths 400% rise from here - average 18%-20% per month over 22 mths (obviously it wouldn't be linear in its growth path) - but just imagine what that would do for our respective investment portfolios !
