Think todays drop presents a good buying opportunity in this company, infact i think the drop is overdone and unfair, this will go above £6 when the dust settles down imo

Hope they have a new director in place and an RNS which may excite investors and move this up to next level.

Obviously BT going through negative publicity re industrial actions, competition, but available for a bid situation as well. At these prices and purely from investment point of view this is a giant of a company that needs to break free from shackles [which it is slowly] and will be a good investment in future maybe 12-18months time. The SP is dwindling around 140-150 but capable to go to £2 easily just as it almost did few months back. Resumption of dividends is also a good sign. DYOR

Good company Paypoint unlikely to receive bid as very tight knit company i think..............

One can hope for it to happen and with MCRO being global there is every hope that it may get a bid higher than the £5.32 being offered .....i am personally hoping for over £6 as i think its the value and potential .......saying that there is the debt element as well which does knock it back slightly, exciting times is what i would suggest and ride the luck especially the LTH on here.

Waking up this morning and seeing MCRO shares i thought i had the wrong shareprice ....i think its a good outcome overall though i would have preferred a £6 plus bid. I am still hoping for Amazon or someone to come in an snatch it away for £6! but surely its better than what was expected in short term. Does anyone know of timescales of completion or share suspension etc? or is this going to happen after the AGM etc

Bid shackles removed so expecting a bid at somepoint or changes soon, this is a good giant that will awake soon!

Makes one wonder about the competency of the current management team if the SP has remained depressed for a long while....debts yes but no plan B? what it needs is new products/plans/debt reduction/may be new CEO who can inject some PR and new investors! it is frustrating tbh and hope we have seen the worst or there is more to come in light of struggling economies? Something has to happen here either way to give shareholders value for money besides the dividends.

Thats positive and hope its not another false dawn as MCRO has the tendency to spring surprises which does affect the share price and investors negatively, its a very long time since the SP has hit the highs of £10 plus to which it has got the potential, just need a JV or a niche product launch and it will propel but how long will the shareholders continue to suffer?

Need a bid of £6 plus, thats our only hope with this management i think......

All it needs is a great PR on new orders £6 per share is the dream........

BT needs a bid and this is unfairly cheap SP at the moment, not sure who is unpopular is it the CEO or just the brand name? time for referrals for national security to be put aside and what BT needs is a take over to rejuvenate it or break it up and solve the issues that its not been able to solve ie pensions, unions and competition, you cannot hold BT by tying its hands that its a national security info carrier hence it cannot be sold?? my opinion.

Fair call if BT is of national security interest and stores sensitive info, if that's the case then BT should probably be compared to the likes of BAE systems whose shares have touched £8! not to that level in terms of defence stocks but surely above £3 in share price..

BT has been a sleeping giant for years and lately for one reason to another its unfairly and unjustly not being rerated as many would be, a bid from someone will release lots of potential of the company and will benefit long suffering shareholders. Not sure why its of national interest for stakes to be referred to when electricity and water amongst other utilities are owned by foreign companies/governments and that is ok!

Entirely agree, the CEO needs to go and large shareholders must write to the company asap and demand changes or be sacked and taken over by someone more competent and well known in IT circles. This Murdoch guy is nothing but a disaster and has no motivation or desire to install a good PR to the world. Keeps blaming staff retention etc outsource workload that you cannot deal with! the shareholders have been neglected, this stock has a value of at least £5/6 if they can minimise the debts and get into the real profits. Wish Amazon would take them over and show them how its done!
