I dream of getting my money back here, only £3500 but in my times here going back to Cluff ca 2014 I have dreamed that might have been multiplied many times through the years. Haha even relatively recently, how you end up with nothing with the biggest gas find etc. Etc. Anyway if the f***er gets any where near 43p….. I know. I know.

I agree. Been here since the Cluff days and seen a few false dawns but thought at last the time had come. Given the stage this has reached it is almost certain profit. As a retired lifetime worker in oil and gas this occurrence is almost unprecedented. (I’m sure there other examples but I can’t think of one in these circumstances). Even given whatever the parties are saying we need gas in the short to medium term and thus this will come to shore in the next few years. Of that I’m certain. This was my last individual E&P share.

Bit confused by this move. I’m assuming SSIT owns 100% of the new venture. And so any new investors will be buying into SSIT equity. I can see that this might be away of attracting more speculative investors and spreading the risk of early stage companies. Is this right?

I agree. Nigeria should have been exited many years ago. I think I commented that 3/4 years ago. It has been like a millstone etc.

I’ve been here a long time. Initially attracted by the mini Unilever potential and then agreeing with the current strategy. However it was obvious that Nigeria was the Achilles ‘Hell’ 3/4 years ago they started to reduce exposure but stopped from going to zero or very limited. I suppose now too late and must wait for currency to recover…!?!? Anyway well down but thinking might just take my medicine.

This is a very very simple company. Could be done by any competent people in a few weeks, no weekends, no overtime and having some nice lengthy lunchtimes. No booze!!

I see no reasons why the final 2023 results can’t be produced by March. In previous years weren’t finalised until April. A tardy April announcement was ok for that stage of the company but now I would find unacceptable an April announcement. Not that I have any say. What do others think?

Thanks for all the comments below and I take them. If there is nothing to the rise they should say so. If there is something to it, it means insiders, of what ever kind, are benefitting at the expense of share holders, perhaps I would have bought more on the recent way up.

Very difficult to understand why the firm have not commented on the rise. Long term investor just about coming into the blue, so I pray it continues but…..why atm?

Viagra is also hugely used by people who don’t really have a ED problem. Something as easily available and applied as this should also capture this market.
