Can somebody please confirm the sp? I thought we had closed at 1:48, but for some reason I have 2: 24……. I’m a simple soul really, and I need to figure out whether I should be laughing or crying……

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions and I promised myself I would cash out with a swallowable loss. Well that idea came and went when the sp took off and now it’s put me over 10k in profit. As much as I think this can go higher I’m going to take my original stake and leave the profits - I can’t afford to lose that kind of money now it’s been ‘gifted’ back and I can’t justify the risk - even if it is minimal. I remember how I felt at being so far underwater and that is not something I ever want to feel again I am lucky I was able to average down so much.

Best not poke the bear, in my case. Let us know what you decide!

Posters have agreed all along that this is a binary play - I guess now the risk to reward ratio seems a lot less like 90/10 it’s hard to walk away completely. Averaging down hurt my portfolio more that I had bargained for so recouping would take the pressure off. I didn’t think I’d be within touching distance of breakeven let alone profit….it is still a flip of the coin on no further news. I guess I will make that call when/if I breakeven.

GoldGirl - you going to hold on if you reach your breakeven or cash out? I remember from earlier posts you were hoping to exit …..

I averaged down from 5.7 to lower what I assumed would be a crystallised loss and my b/e is sitting at 1.257. Now it looks like I may not have to take that hit, I’m vacillating between cashing out or holding out….. I hold a fair chunk so the paper loss has been painful to see and I swore I would get out at the earliest time - hence the averaging down to a potentially more recoverable position.

FOMO is a real bu*ger 🫣

Who’d have thought a week ago there would be no ‘at best’ quote to buy…… was expecting some smarty pants to put £5 as their price but nothing…..

Will have to hold my average at 1.257……

I know these are open forums - quite rightly so - but surely that doesn’t mean posters have a licence to in effect spam this board with the same message over and over, rinse & repeat, ad nauseum. And the posts are just getting personal and frankly vile. Why spoil it for the rest? It’s such a shame.

Quick question - what happened to all the doomsayer weather posters on herewith categorically insisted no drilling could/should take place in January and if it did, the well would collapse etc and suggesting it was a complete waste of money at best, and at worst - a decision borne out of incompetence ? They have all gone very quiet…..

I did average down but am still at - 47.3 %. I need 1.257p to break even but my reasoning was to minimise a crystallised loss. Maybe the sp will hit that figure - posters seem to think it’s eminently do-able but I’m probably not alone in now having second thoughts as to when I will bug out.

Hindsight is a wonderful/cruel thing (depending on the outcome) and it’s easy

to swim with the tide and get caught up in the enthusiasm and hope - it’s not so easy to rationalise it after the fact, when/if hopes are dashed once more.

And let’s face it…. It’s been quite a ride so far!

It’s just such an unnecessary and ridiculous way for this to be playing out - your last post pretty much sums up the reality of the sentiment here. Would that it were different…..
