I think, but am not certain, that BoD should inform shareholders of value of investments in the Annual Report. We can only speculate. i think OBS post at 8.38 is "true and fair view".

I am keen to establish some idea of value of JVs. Amapa is the focus at the moment and from the enthusiasm of KM and the number of reports issued by VOX and Brand, UK Investor etc and the presentations we should expect good news very soon. I repeat; the buying of shares by all directors shows their confidence.
As to the JVs; I have been trying to get some idea of their values but without knowing the terms agreed with JV partners it is difficult. Certainly the NPVs of Sonora -about £1b and Yangibana -about £310m are a reason for optimism.
Jmb2. Why do you say Sonora JV might be worth zero in a few months? I think our exit will be Ganfeng/ BCN buying JV.

The cost of Mojito was as you said £380k. + 250m shares and KDNC (REM at the time) stated that total cost was £950K. It would be heartening to think that that is now worth 11 times as much=£10.rm

IMO BCN/Ganfeng will buy KDNC's share of JV. But for how much?

Ganfeng has paid a total of £30m for 50% of BCN's interest in Sonora.

KM has been so positive and given so many presentations recently I think he must be very confident that Amapa will be completed.

Obs. The market cap of HAS is £128m and BCN is £139m. I know there is no hard and fast value and values change as perceptions and circumstances change but I think the problem with JVs is that we have no/little idea of KDNCs rights. The NAV of Sonora is about £1b and Yangibana is £310m. KDNC has 30% of some of Sonora and some of Yangibana but what is KDSNC’s share of JVs???

The report by VOX markets shows KDNc's enthusiam about Yangibana but does not put a value on JV. I'd love to know.

IMO this should say HAS not KDNC has $120m in cash but still overall very positive
Upon settlement of both tranches of the Placement, Cadence will have a cash balance of around $120m, before costs. The equity component of Yangibana’s capital cost is $124m.

The spreadsheets that have been posted are very encouraging and if they are 50% right Alba is very undevalued.
