Apparently there are two figures to watch as long as the gold price rises:- finishing above $1375 is the ceiling to break and $1400 is when the big institutions start buying gold and gold financial products.

I think a lot more people are positioning themselves into precious metals. The financial meltdown is on the horizon.

The dollar has dropped making the gold price look as if it's going up. Watch out for the gold price drop as the dollar rises next week.

Of course we are in the holiday period at the moment so the gold price will drift and we are awaiting two pieces of news this week.

Gold hasn't held into the $1330's. So Waiting to see if it goes lower.

I noticed at 8pm tonight the gold price kissed just over $1333. The pivotal point at which good breaks higher or lower. At 10pm its dropped back a little. With a strong dollar that's a hell of a lot of support for gold. We'll have to see what happens.

Most of the downward pressure is coming from the strength of the dollar.

Yes market sentiment is up but consensus shows there must be a drop and consolidation before it resumes its climb. Most technical reports show a finish below $1330-1335( which we've had in the last couple of days) indicates a further drop into the twelve hundreds. The charts and Cot (commitment of traders) reports back up a drop at some point at the moment. A finish above those figures is the start of the climb initially to $1349 and beyond. I'm looking to get back in, in August /September but things change all the time so take everything with a pinch of salt.

According to some - if the gold price fails to finish above 1335 today it's next stop is 1295 then 1245. But I shouldn't worry the long term looks great. However I've sold all my gold miner shares today.

A huge amount of shorts are being taken out on gold and silver apparently. It's a consolidating before gold resumes its climb from all accounts.

Nobody should worry about the large amount of shares that could come onto the market tomorrow or the dip in the gold price. This share should be very good in the medium to long term.

If gold is truly at the beginning of a bull run it usually kicks off in August so not long to wait

Gold price should be in the 1220 to 1320 range at the moment. It's gone too high too fast. Can't see it altering its medium term upward trend though.

Yes you could do with being out during this period ready to buy in after after the massive dilution during recapitalisation.

We have all the bad news to come from the European Union's news blackout over the last two months running up to the brexit vote and then the domino effect on other countries of the brexit result to kick in. It should be interesting.

The gold price is rising. Let's see what happens then.
